A Call to Action for Faithful Stewardship of U.S. Principles As guardians of a nation founded on principles that many consider divinely inspired, such as those outlined in our Declaration, Bill of Rights, and Constitution, it is crucial for Americans, especially those of faith, to actively preserve and embody these values. The vision laid forth by our founding documents is one of equal treatment under the law, a promise that should hold true regardless of one’s economic status, political beliefs, or racial background. In times when the integrity of our justice system is questioned, it is imperative for God-fearing individuals to voice their commitment to fairness and equality. By doing so, we not only honor the spiritual underpinnings of our nation's founding but also reinforce the fabric of our society, ensuring that justice is truly blind and that all citizens are treated with the dignity they deserve. Let us stand firm in our conviction and advocate for a justice system that reflects the highest ideals of our nation. #ConstitutionalRights #DivineInspiration #JusticeForAll #AmericanValues #FaithInAction

Join us today in celebrating the Bill of Rights!! The Bill of Rights embodies a core American strength: the capacity for compromise and self-improvement. By codifying fundamental freedoms, it won over States skeptical of a Federal Government at the time of our founding and proved our Constitution to be a living document. From The American Presidency Project, Proclamation 10323—Bill of Rights Day, 2021: “Opportunities to improve our Constitution have been contemplated since its inception. On December 15, 1791, three-fourths of the existing State legislatures ratified the first 10 Amendments of the Constitution—the Bill of Rights. These Amendments protect some of the most indispensable rights and liberties that define us as Americans. Though we have often struggled to live up to the promises they contain, 230 years after the ratification of the Bill of Rights, respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms remains at the center of our democracy." The Bill of Rights is important not only in the freedoms it protects but in its demonstration of America's enduring commitment to self-improvement and striving to continuously form our "more perfect union." Since 1791, 17 additional Amendments have been ratified for a total of 27 Amendments to the Constitution. #BillOfRightsDay2023 #Heritage #Legacy #OneGuard

I often hear from individuals deeply interested in Ukraine's affairs that the Revolution of Dignity was a CIA-orchestrated coup against a "Russian" rule-based system within Ukraine. 🕵️♂️🇺🇦 While I understand this viewpoint and acknowledge that intelligence services worldwide work towards their national security objectives in such scenarios, I respectfully disagree with the notion that this was an #American-led coup. 🇺🇸❌ It was, unequivocally, the people of #Ukraine. 🇺🇦✊ These were people yearning for what we cherish in #America: the fundamental right to the pursuit of happiness. 🗽💫 Such happiness remained elusive under a #Kremlin-backed regime, with citizens at the mercy of corrupt officials and oligarchs. 💼🚫 And let's not forget, this wasn't the first uprising. The Orange Revolution of 2004 is yet another instance where the Ukrainian people stood tall against the same oppressive forces they faced a decade later in 2014. 🍊🔙 After waiting a decade for change, only to be met with more of the same, the people's patience wore thin, and in 2014, they said, "enough is enough." 🕰️💥 Little did they know that soon after, #Russia would annex #Crimea and instigate conflicts in Donetsk and Luhansk, leading to a full-scale invasion eight years later. 🇷🇺🚀 Despite these challenges, the Ukrainian spirit of freedom and justice for all remains unbroken. They continue to resist, embodying the true essence of courage and resilience. 🛡️🔥 Let's never forget their struggle and the ideals they fight for. #SlavaUkraini 🇺🇦🌟
Today we honor the memory of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes - those who were killed during the Revolution of Dignity in the struggle for democracy, human rights & freedom for European future of 🇺🇦 Those, whose memory will always be alive. Eternal memory and glory to the Heroes! 🇺🇦

#latestactivities Alliance for Justice: Pioneers in upholding justice and equality In the annals of American history, certain organizations stand out as beacons of progress and defenders of justice. Among them, the Alliance for Justice (AFJ) shines brightly, a testament to decades of unwavering commitment to upholding the values of equality, fairness, and constitutional rights. Origins and Mission The seeds of AFJ were sown in the turbulent year of 1971, a time when the "Powell Memo" sounded the alarm on perceived threats to the American economic system. Recognizing the call to arms for the business community to influence the courts, AFJ emerged as a bulwark against the weaponization of justice for corporate interests. Founded in 1979 by the indefatigable attorney and activist Nan Aron, AFJ was a response to the encroaching specter of far-right ideologies threatening to erode decades of hard-won progressive achievements. With a vision of a judiciary that mirrors the diversity of the nation and safeguards the rights of all its citizens, AFJ embarked on a mission to ensure that justice remains blind to influence and privilege. As we observe Juneteenth, the AAMC recognizes the significance of this day in American history and the importance of reflecting on our collective journey toward equality. June 19 marks the true end of slavery in the United States, a crucial moment when Major General Gordon Granger and Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, to enforce the Emancipation Proclamation. Yet, nearly 160 years later, we continue to strive for the fundamental promise of ‘liberty and justice for all.’ Systemic change requires more than new rules; it demands personal accountability, education, courage, and the willingness to engage in difficult conversations. We must unlearn long-held societal norms and confront the ways historical injustices shape today's inequalities. As Frederick Douglass wisely noted, “The life of the nation is secure only while the nation is honest, truthful, and virtuous.” Let us seize this moment to commit to creating a future where equity and justice are realities for all. #Juneteenth #Equity #AcademicMedicine #SocialJustice
