Why talk about food I have talked about all sorts of animals, from the butterfly to the dung beetle and the dog, so what does this have to do with today's picture of world food? Whether you are a dog ant or a human, we all need food and water to live; the planet is where it all begins. There are many different ways of getting food from this planet; some animals only eat grass or berries. We eat a combination of meat and seeds, but we can make a difference by only taking what we need. You find yourself staring. You can't take your eyes off the animal - the individual - you're looking at. You don't know how long you've been standing there but you can't look away. Their eyes, their face, their way of being. Nothing else matters in that moment. I see you. An animal, a person, a tree, or a river. You can feel something inside of yourself. You can't quite describe it but it's there and it's powerful. There's an unshakable desire to care. A drive to do better. It takes courage to keep caring. It takes strength to know where and when you can make a difference within your own sphere of influence. And it takes wisdom to understand that the quality of care we give depends on the quality of care we take. That's what we're about at AnimalConcepts - an interconnected approach towards animal, human and planetary wellbeing because making a positive difference in the world depends on the care that we give AND the care that we take. Find out more about the way we work and what we can do for you on our freshly updated website!

Large employers' calls for flexing the apprenticeship levy would hurt small employers argues Gillian Keegan in the Times today. With 98% of the apprenticeship programme budget spent in the last two years, she is correct that any new flexibility would limit opportunities for SMEs. But no mention of the small matter of half a billion of unallocated levy funds though. Whether you support flexibility or not, supporting the need for a long-term sustainable funding system is vital be that for apprenticeships or a reformed flexible system. https://lnkd.in/es5zXtnV

Attention authors, and readers who love the Earth! I am working to invigorate ways to promote eco-adventure fantasy and fiction stories. I've come up with some creative ways to promote this event. I'd like to hear your ideas too! I have a poster board wrapped up in a towel with Orcas (theme of the Middle grade story) the book seated up front for readers to see. At least one or two flyers, printed with water based ink, on recycled paper. Each event I create, I start backwards. I think about what will happen to all these items after the event? Cringe…landfill. How else can we promote with the earth in mind?
