Is your restaurant ready for the holiday hustle? Here are 3 tips I have for a seamless operating and marketing experience: 🎄Seasonal Menu and LTO: Guests LOVE LTOS especially when you bring them back due to popular demand. 🎁Order those bulk gift cards! I mentioned this before, but last-minute gift card orders will rack up insane fees! 📱Communicate ALL holiday promos with your operations team. Operation and Marketing teams HAVE to work together to ensure a seamless experience from the backend side and the guest experience side. If you're a chef 🧑🍳or restaurant owner🍴 looking to improve your holiday marketing strategy, let's talk. #TheCulinaryCMO

The best way to get new customers into your restaurant? AND it's free! 𝗚𝗶𝗳𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀. But not just any gift card - oh no. A gift card worth 3x the value that your customers actually buy it for. For example - if the card is worth £75, sell it for £25. (since your mark-up is likely 3x-4x it costs nothing!) It's seems counter intuitive in recent times which inflation, rising costs and a declining average spend but I disagree. Selling these such cards before popular holidays (Christmas, Valentines, Easter etc) is a great way to gain new customers 𝗟𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗶𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 👇 - Sell £75 gift card to your existing customer for £25 - The customer gives you their email to redeem - Limit the offer to 2 per person (creates exclusivity) and make them redeemable during typically off-peak periods - Your customer looks great to their family and friends when they present them with the gift - You acquire 2 new customers for free - Wow the guests with what you do best!! And BOOM!! 2 new happy customers who then go and tell a few of theirs friends and before you know it, word of mouth is compounding in your favour! Yeh, you're welcome 🤗

A surprisingly effective way to build a customer base. This is about Total Wine & More. (known as America's Wine Superstore®). Some facts about Total Wine & More: ↳Revenues in excess of $6bn. ↳Largest alcohol retailer in USA. ↳Sells wine, spirits, beer, and more. ↳Also sells glassware, accessories, etc. ↳Operates 260+ superstores in 28 states. ↳Each store is 20,000 to 25,000 square feet. ↳Over 8000 wines, 3500 spirits, and 2500 beers. In 2005, Total Wine opened its first store in Tampa. Before opening, they sent out 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 $50 gift cards. ↳Free $50 gift cards. ↳Via postal mail. ↳As in USPS. They sent these physical gift cards: ↳To 1000s of people. ↳And 100s of businesses. ↳In multiple zip codes in Tampa. As an introduction to the brand. Upon opening: ↳They were inundated. ↳1000s of people showed up. ↳At their newly opened store in Tampa. I also went. I used the $50 gift card. I still go to Total Wine 19 years later. I've spent 1000s of dollars at their stores. I only shop at Total Wine for adult beverages. I know other people who are equally loyal to the brand. Was the $50 gift card an effective investment? Are you the kind of person that enjoys when their #morningcoffee is #freecoffee⁉ Me too! So, I decided to give out 3 free gift cards (and 5 to 10 more) to your favorite beverage spot, provided they offer digital gift cards. Here's how you can be considered for #freecoffee 1. React to this post 2. Tag a friend or colleague who also likes #coffee 3. Complete items 1 & 2 by this Friday, August 25, 2023. Here are some dirty deets (for those that need it) - Why am I giving away digital gift cards for a beverage? I'm doing #research for a business. If you're a #technologist and/or an #outdoorenthusiast you'd be all like 😍 for this place. But also, I just like #feelinggood. This seemed like a fun way to do that. - What do you get? (Yep! it can be more than just coffee!) This is a #chance to make #yourvoice part something REALLY COOL! Plus you get #freecoffee! In all seriousness, if you've ever been #frustrated because a computer program felt #convoluted , or you #wish you had #betterTools in the #outdoors this is the time to #participate! Until next time! Feel good. Be Kind. Play hard. Work hard. Find something to believe in. Additional notes & disclaimers can be found in this document. Please reach out with questions!

Head of Commercial | Delivering hospitality-focused CRM & Gifting strategies | RMI 30 under 30 Rising Star 2024
I live about 2 hours drive away from my Mum which means when we do spend time together it is regularly in Borough Market dining at Elliot's or sipping wine in one of the many wonderful arches. 🍷 These experiences last a lifetime, unlike those flowers that will wilt, or the chocolate that will last all of 2 minutes! And this year Toggle is predicting a whopping 177% surge in gift card sales for #mothersday. Operators offering gift cards with added-value promotions like ‘£10 off when you spend £30’ are seeing a 533% increase in total spend from the original redemption value. A win-win i'm sure every business wants! 🎉 So whether it's an Afternoon Tea, a Spa Day, a perfect 'Sunday Lunch for Two', or simply a gift card promotion this Mother's Day, Toggle's advice is to make sure your customers, your passers-by, and your future customers know about it! 💌 #giftcards #marketing #hospitality
