Collaboration is so important for economic growth and American security. Check out what Brian T MacCarthy is talking about.
Booz Allen Ventures lead and Senior Vice President, Brian T MacCarthy discusses why the U.S. government should work with private industry leaders to compete against mounting geopolitical threats and here is what he had to say: "As the United States pushes to remain competitive with our near-peer adversaries—like China—there must be an intentional focus on creating and funding an ecosystem of capabilities and technologies backed by both public institutions and private investors. In three of the four great power technologies (Space, AI, Cyber and IT Modernization) the spending leader is China if you only account for DoD R&D U.S. funding. If the United States is to compete against mounting geopolitical threats, it must be able to deliver at the speed of need of those threats and that means working with private industry leaders. U.S. government must continue to fund the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) to accelerate technology development and dual-use startups from idea or concept to a fielded capability that will increase national security preparedness." https://lnkd.in/e2uqjhJe

🙌 Exciting News: 🙌 Vanta has raised $150 million in Series C funding led by Sequoia Capital with participation from Goldman Sachs Ventures and J.P. Morgan. Today’s milestone speaks to the universal need for products like Vanta. Threats and breaches are increasing rapidly, and security teams are struggling to keep up at a time when they are expected to do more with less. Alongside our customers, Vanta is moving the industry from point-in-time checks to continuous security, with a better way to GRC. With this new funding, we’ll be doubling-down on our AI investments, eliminating the manual and repetitive work that is burdening security teams so that they can focus on more high-level strategic projects. I am so excited to be part of Vanta, delivering exceptional products for security teams just like ours. We are thrilled to reach this exciting milestone, but also know we are just getting started. We will continue to listen intently to our customers and continue to deliver products to ensure we are building solutions for a better security future. Thank you to our partners, customers, and Vanta’ns who made this milestone possible. 💜 https://lnkd.in/edG9VPaN
