Last weekend we opened the Grailed x Boiler Room pop-up store, in Paris during Fête de la Musique. 'RAVEWEAR' was a collection of archival pieces paying homage to the evolution of rave style from the ‘90s to now as well as a selection of Boiler Room merch and a limited-edition collab capsule.

Truly, this is one of the best talent partnership concepts I have ever seen 👀
Lenovo tapped in with Gawx to create a concept so unique, so artistic, that it barely feels like an advertisement. Judging by the comments and reactions, people don’t see it as one either.
If I had a Talent Partnership of the Year Award, this would be a strong contender 🏆
Why I love it
1. Champion Creatives who are authentically tied to the benefits of the product
Lenovo selected a range of talent—film directors, graphic artists, and more—each bringing their unique perspective to highlight the product’s capabilities in different ways. By using the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition in their own style, they showcase the product’s versatility and capabilities.
2. Let the creative of the spot be determined by the talent involved
The idea unfolds like a game of “telephone,” where each artist builds on the last piece, answering the question, “What is inspiration?” This format gives each creator room to interpret and evolve the concept.
3. The Product is the Story’s Vehicle
The Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i Aura Edition is the REASON why this concept is moving along, not ending with someone highlighting it (traditional). The spot creates a story and encourages viewers to follow along (I have since followed all the talent involved in order to know what happens).
