Latina small business owners are making jefa (boss) moves! Today, in partnership with PepsiCo Juntos Crecemos, we proudly launch year three of Jefa-Owned - a national visibility campaign that celebrates the economic, cultural and community contributions of Latina entrepreneurs. Despite being one of the fastest growing entrepreneurial cohorts in the country, Latina entrepreneurs still face overwhelming business challenges. Jefa-Owned aims to close these resource gaps and shine a spotlight on Latina small businesses. This year, we’ve teamed up with some major power players to help amplify this message, provide resources, and rally support for jefas nationwide. Our partners include the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), Hello Alice, and actress and philanthropist Stephanie Beatriz, who are using their platforms to give space to the stories of Latina empowerment and support the mission of Jefa-Owned. It’s no coincidence that we’re launching today, on National Latina Day, and we’ve made it easy for everyone to get involved: 💰 Business-Building Grants: PepsiCo Juntos Crecemos will award more than $400,000 in grants and business resources to 20 female entrepreneurs in the food and beverage category to grow and scale their businesses. If you know a jefa who could benefit, encourage her to apply. Applications are open August 20 thru September 27. ⏰ “Jefa Hour” Nationwide: On August 23 restaurant-goers are invited to “Jefa Hour” to discover, dine, and celebrate Hispanic cuisine at their local Latina-owned restaurants. 💪 Jefa Empowerment Sessions: In the coming weeks, PepsiCo Juntos Crecemos will host intimate Jefa Empowerment Sessions for women small business owners in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and Miami. All jefas and aspiring jefas are welcome! For more information on the grants, Jefa Hour and the Jefa Empowerment sessions, visit https://lnkd.in/gdrYDPsz, and join us in championing Latina small business owners today and beyond.
