The recent mapping of the #UK’s #ServicedApartment supply has revealed some interesting stats: 🏢 56,700+ #ServicedApartments are spread across the #UK. 🔑 28,566 properties across 1,400+ buildings are brand-managed, meaning they are operated by a company rather than private hosts. ASAP - The Association of Serviced Apartment Providers members represent a significant share, accounting for 41% of these establishments. 🌍 The remaining supply (about 28,000 apartments) is fragmented, with the majority of it made up of independent operators and 'single-key' offers. 📍 #England dominates the market with 87% of the #UK’s serviced apartments, followed by #Scotland (9%), #Wales (3%), and #Northern Ireland (1%). #London leads the way, housing 12,867 serviced apartments, equivalent to 45% of the #UK's total supply. #Manchester (6.3%), #Liverpool (4.8%), and Edinburgh (4.4%) follow as key regional hubs. The report projects that the worldwide serviced apartment market will develop at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.5% from 2022 to 2030, estimated at $120 billion in 2023. Exciting Milestone: Our First Guest at Our Newest SA Property in Dundee! I’m thrilled to share that we hosted our first guest at our newest serviced accommodation property in Dundee last night. Despite having six other properties, the nerves were definitely there. Here are some key points from our journey: Nervous Moments: Even with our experience, we worried if everything was perfect – from functionality to ensuring the fire alarm wouldn't go off! Remote Management Challenges: Living in Wick and Kelly in Edinburgh, it's not easy being far from the property. Thankfully, our network of amazing friends in Dundee, including Emma who popped in with a kitchen cloth, have been incredibly supportive. Renovation to Reality: Completing renovations is just the beginning. Sourcing the right furniture, kitchen equipment, and setting up policies and procedures are crucial and time-consuming tasks. Platform Integration: Adding the property to booking platforms and managing it through our channel manager is intricate and essential for smooth operations. Compliance and Systems: Establishing a robust bookkeeping system and ensuring compliance from the get-go is vital to avoid future headaches. Successful First Guest: Quick call because they couldn't find the property. A quick text with a photo of the property and 5 mins later they were in! With the first night successfully behind us, we hope our guests have a fantastic stay and that our new property becomes as beloved as our others. Not taking booking for the 5 Bed town house in Dundee ideal for contractors and teams working in the area.
