Not only is it delicious, but it’s also incredibly nutritious, and as humans we have been enjoying this superfood for over 7,000 years. Cheese has played a vital role throughout history, offering a reliable source of calories, protein, and fat, especially for early farming populations during challenging times like droughts or famines. However today’s cheese is different. With bioengineered FPCs (Fermentation Produced Chymosin) granted GRAS status, it’s crucial to be selective with your cheese choices. These genetically modified organisms might not be labeled as ‘GMO,’ often listed simply as ‘microbial rennet’ or ‘vegetable rennet,’ which can be deceiving. Vegetable and microbial rennets are common alternatives to animal rennet, but their sources vary widely. While microbial rennet is produced in lab settings, and sometimes fed soy, vegetable rennet’s quality can be also be extremely inconsistent. Protein directly from plants is definitely better. Remember the simple math that it takes way more than 10 lbs of food for humans and most mammals alike to gain just 1 lbs of protein (assuming your metabolism is healthy and you can workout). Therefore, when we eat one pounds of 🥩 (those poor cows!) we are really indirectly eating more than 10 lbs of plants or animal feed. Or… we could have just eaten just 1 pound of lentils directly or other similar healthier food. Following the math… To raise 1 cow, we would need aproximately an entire acre of plants such as soy to feed them. There are over 1B+ cows in the world so almost half of the U.S. mainland is needed to make food just for making cows with a cold hearted industrial process not taking the wellbeing of cows into any consideration. We could have just eaten 1/10 of those plants directly for a better diet and skip the heart disease and extra animal hormones in our body. Scary Math, huh! 😱 Humans are omnivores and I am not advocating everyone must goes vegan - that’s unrealistic and often not practical - but I AM saying we should get more calories from plants and just be more like ‘vegans’. 😊 Let’s lessen our dependency on industrial farming of animals. Treat those poor 🐄 🐮 and 🐑 better!!!

And Rathauser and the team at Eggmented Reality believe that they have created an even more incredible kind of egg, without any of the drawbacks associated with the industry.
