This is why I’m always pushing against “don’t quit”. People take it literally in all kinds of situations where is it is not only terrible advice, it’s actually dangerous!
So true! Every day, I find something from you that inspires me, makes me think, or both. And often they know they make you feel like that. They don't care. No amount of explaining will make some people care.
Big ol’ AGREE! And, it’s too bad so many cultures are more deeply intertwined with family ‘values’ than Western-based ones. It’s so difficult for them to separate themselves without extreme guilt and/or pressure. 🫰🫰

1moSo true. I had to let my mother go because of her abusive behavior only to hear supposed friends say she’s still your mother. They didn’t understand and tried to guilt me into a relationship with her. Those friends are gone too.
