How do you feel when someone asks you about your wins? If you’ve just launched a fabulous new product, smashed a sales goal or secured a dream speaking gig, it feels fantastic to share your news. Those moments are amazing and absolutely worth celebrating. But what about when you've been focused on quieter (but oh-so-crucial) tasks – like sending emails, delivering client work on time, prepping for a webinar or posting content? Would you shout about those? Or would you stay quiet and feel, well, maybe a bit inadequate, feeling you’ve nothing significant to share? But here’s the thing: it’s consistently delivering these everyday activities that actually builds our businesses. And maybe if we start celebrating these achievements as wins too, we’ll boost our confidence rather than feeling like we’re not doing enough. We might even find ourselves going a bit further, a bit faster. Until suddenly those massive ‘big’ wins that seemed out of reach are only few mini-steps away. Now I think that’s something to truly shout about! So, this week I’m going to celebrate my micro-wins – however tiny. Will you join me? I’d love to hear and celebrate yours too. 🙌

Technology is our friend, but only if you know how to explain it... Last night on Lethal Sales, Peter Smith and Larry Feldman brought forth the question: How do we get people to adopt Technology? The first challenge that we vendors have with getting folks to adopt new technology is setting meetings with our ICP. The second challenge: Explaining it. "If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough." -Albert Einstein I am not a closer, and I have ADHD. Explaining anything simply is a challenge for me, and I'm also impatient. Which makes me a challenged salesperson. However, it also attunes me to the length and breadth of demonstrations. If I get "bored" or "zone out" during someone's pitch, it's too long. To add insult to injury, if the pitch is too long, when pitching to a Service Manager or General Manager; they aren't going to buy no matter how amazing the solution is. This also applies to coaching. If I as a coach, can't teach something quickly, I'm not going to be effective at gaining the trust and installing information into Technicians. So I take Albert Einstein's phrase very seriously. However, that's only the opinion of one of us from Lethal Sales last night. I have been working with the sales departments with two huge corporations working on replacing something that is currently unobtainium; the other product I could replace with about $1,000.00 dollar order from @DigiKey and then have to put it all together. Both sales departments had sales people respond that did not listen, repeatedly ask irrelevant questions; failed to answer direct questions. I contacted the first company and explained the situation directly and have not had another communication from the sales person; the individual that was the second order of response answered my questions directly and am moving forward. The second company was informed that they can have the choice of selling me the product I want or I can place an order with DigiKey. I will keep you updated on the progress of this situation. It's crucial to address this issue: As a sales professional, have you ever been astounded by the lack of sales and leadership coaching in large corporations, where accountability is often overlooked? Consider the potential consequences of such sales practices. I would hate to have sold a space vehicle that can't get back home... Don't lie to yourself this week - We applaud every impression made. - We cheer for every lead captured. - We recognize staying on target. - We value simply showing up. VS - We celebrate forging meaningful connections. -We exult in sealing the deal. -We revel in achieving our targets. -We honor completing the task. Yes, “enjoying the journey” has its merits. But don’t let charming phrases excuse unfinished tasks. Here’s the bottom line: You started to finish. Celebrating what’s incomplete is like awarding yourself for just participating. It feels nice momentarily, but remember why you’re here. Finish the task. That’s the real win.

Stop Seeking Validation From Others! Remember that one time you cracked a joke and no one laughed, but you still thought it was hilarious? That’s the spirit! 😂 In a world where a coffee shop visit isn’t complete without an Instagram story and every meal deserves a filter, it’s easy to fall into the trap of seeking validation from others. But here’s a little secret: your worth isn’t measured by likes, comments, or retweets. 1. Believe in Your Skills: Whether you are climbing trees or corporate ladders, trust that you have got what it takes. 2. Self-Approval: If you love your own post, that’s one genuine like already. 3. Celebrate Your Wins: Don’t wait for applause. Dance like no one’s watching (and if they are, make them wish they could dance like you). Life is too short to wait for applause. Clap for yourself and keep moving forward. You’ve got this!

"The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate." In every 1 on 1 client session, we begin with pausing for applause. Stopping to celebrate the wins. All the good things. All the things they navigated. What astounds me is how much our brains are wired to negative thought and for busy, ambitious women, the to-do list is endless. You get to the end of the day and instead of saying ‘F*%k I’m awesome, you think of all the things you STILL have to do. It’s exhausting. The more you pause for applause the more you find to pause for applause for! I see it every time. In ‘Your Magnificent Journey’, my 1 on 1 90 day signature program, each online session begins with a pause for applause, without fail. And what I see is how excited my clients get when they get to stop and think about what they DID do. And… how the list grows so much over the time we work together. What you focus on expands.
