Miracle Mondays Incredible Execution Watching the best teams play together, win together, celebrate together on repeat is an incredible site! Having watched the military planes from my backyard yesterday flying in preparation for the F1 I was in awe of their flawless execution and unison the six planes were gliding through the skies. Execution is a byproduct of the energy and preparation that is put in. The extra work for the athletes pre-game, post-training etc etc … that extra bit of reading and analysis that incredible teams tackle prior to a key interaction. Incredible execution is all about the energy that goes in the lead up to the big day…the hard work, the smart work, and the nerves have all been exhausted when game day comes. Happy Veteran's Day! This was 96' on a field exercise, makeshift bed in the back of a M35 Series 2.5 ton cargo truck. I had the fortune of spending many nights on makeshift bunks like this. Being attached to an artillery unit, there wasn't much time to sleep in between night jumps. I learned some valuable lessons from my military career that have guided me in life. But three in particular have stuck with me: 1. Embrace the suck - fight through the hard things, you're strong than you think. 2. Get comfortable being uncomfortable - personal life and work will be full of uncomfortable situations, stand tall and thrive in those moments. 3. Mission before team, team before self - nothing is better than being part of a high-performing team, which starts by being a great teammate.
