Great webinar from System1 today on the science behind rating #superbowlads. While the winners (aside from the Chiefs) didn't overlap in that many categories w/some other rankers (e.g.: see USA TODAY's and MNTN ) the methodology may have been apples/oranges. I think System1 offered some brilliant insights into how to approach the analysis by vetting the emotions the ads evoke. (See the " Andrew Tindall graph" below!) For my money? I'm a sucker for cats, horses, and self-deprecating celebs, so #Hellmans, #Budweiser, #StateFarm and #Dunkin won with me (with props to National Football League (NFL) int'l for pulling at my heart strings!)

As a life-long resident of Michigan, I have to say there is something to Dan Campbell. It cannot be ignored, believe me, I tried. I am a Tampa Bay Bucs fan myself. However, Dan has a massive amount of passion for turning what was truly a joke of a team (I am being brutally honest) into something that we (as Michigan Residents) can truly be proud of! The sheer grit, passion, and intensity that he and Brad Holmes have is undeniable. Their dedication to this team is without question remarkable. Putting a team together takes a lot of thought, conversation, and the ability to look ahead. How might this individual be right for the team? Does this individual fit our culture? Will they bring positivity to the team? How will things look after the first year, or even two? These are all important and extremely relevant to our professional lives - even outside of sports. Kudos to Dan and Brad for what they have done. As a Husky fan, I've been unusually invested in the College Football Playoffs. I was watching Coach Saban speak after their loss to Michigan, and I could feel his heartbreak as if it was my own, probably because I've felt that heartbreak for my own athletes over the years. In it, he says how proud he is of his program, his players, and what they've overcome. He finishes with "I just wish I could have done more as a coach to, you know, help them be successful and help them finish and all we can do now is learn from the lessons that uh sometimes failings bring to us." In this ONE MINUTE of interview, we learn a lot about being a leader: -The blessing and curse of being a leader is that we are ultimately the person in control of the success of our team. -Sometimes the dream team isn't able to deliver what you'd hoped. There's a lot to be learned in those moments. -Praising publicly (as taught to me by Proactive Coaching, LLC) goes a long way. It breeds confidence for future projects/games/outcomes. Has Trulieve JUMPED THE SHARK? 🏄♂️🦈 If you were already en route to the beach late last week you may have missed this HUGE announcement… "Trulieve Announces Partnership with Professional Pickleball Association and Major League Pickleball" The MSO has inked a sponsorship agreement for pickleball events in Arizona, Florida, and Georgia… 😂 Is THIS where Trulieve should be spending shareholder dollars for promotion and customer acquisition?? Class, I'm torn. On the one hand, I'm forever dubious about the strategy of spending heavily far from your stores. Particularly since 2 of the 3 states are currently medical. That being said, Pickleball is fastest-growing sport for the third straight year with ~14M players in the U.S.... And many are 55+ and injury prone, which could make them the perfect target market. Also, the sport is more fun and less serious than others. I could see Karen pop an edible and dink it up for a bit. But I want to know what YOU think: — Is this as a good use of funds? — Is this a prudent marketing decision? — Are we excited that PICKLEBALL is endorsing cannabis? — Is this a step on the way to the NFL/MLB/NBA or WWF?
