Rachel Reeves has made a significant announcement regarding onshore wind, emphasizing the crucial steps needed for Community Energy to deliver GW.
Rachel Reeves removed the ban on onshore wind today.
What we need now:
- Carve-out and fast-track Community-led <10MW projects
- Requirement for a planning presumption in favor of Community-led and owned projects
This is essential to support and accelerate the development of Community Energy, and would contribute significantly to the roll out of wind power.
