What happened moments before a match between the New York Red Bulls and Inter Miami is the absolute beauty of what one person can do.. 👇🏻
Now, this is an old story and I am pretty sure you’d have already watched the clips on social media.
Sharing nonetheless :)
During the pre-match facilities of a match between the Red Bulls and Inter Miami, it began raining.
Now, remember, it’s right before a match and so there is a good chance all these players had more important strategic things going on.
But all it took was a moment to create a ripple.
📌A conscious Dante Vanzir, seeing his mascot, get drenched in rain, gently takes off his coat and wraps it around the young boy standing in front of him.
In no time, the other players in the New York lineup followed suit.
Heartwarming and beautiful, isn’t it?
Well, also a classic example of the ripple effect.
Here’s the thing: Our decisions, actions, performance, etc., affect more than just ourselves or in this case, the young, smirking mascot.
One act of consciousness created a ripple effect: encouraged all other players to give their practice coats to see that their mascots kept warm.
I’d like to believe that safety is one such ripple effect.
When you decide to wear safety gear, you create a ripple effect: sometimes even without asking someone else to do the same.
It is THAT powerful.
Let’s take safety seriously; become a part of the ripple effect.
Or rather, create one ;)
P.S. Sharing the clip that went viral on social media some time back 😉
Sure, there’s a big football game, flashy commercials, and a much-anticipated halftime show coming up a few Sundays from now, but Truly Hard Seltzer knows that none of that matters as much as the spread. The food and drink spread, that is.
Truly is bringing the OG snack of football watch parties – hot wings – to both fans and cans with the launch of the first-ever Hot Wing Sauce Hard Seltzer. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, think again. The MVP of hard seltzers meets football fans’ favorite finger food all in one convenient package – no napkins required.
No matter who wins the Big Game, the real winners are the fans who show up to their watch parties willing to share their coveted can of Truly Hot Wing Sauce Hard Seltzer. Available in select markets while supplies last, curious fans can head over to https://lnkd.in/eihqyxFq
Me last week, "Scottie Scheffler is really good at golf."
Nelly Korda, "Hold my beer."
21,000+ fans show up at the Bell Centre to set the attendance record for women's hockey.
Caitlin Clark's Fever jersey outsells entire Cowboys' roster (yay!). Fanatics says new stock won't arrive for a few months (boo!).
Women continue to rock the #sportsbiz.
But, I digress. We're here for the weekly Nice Guy/Gal awards.
Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals).
If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EST on Thursday.
There are only 3 requirements:
1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate
2) you can only nominate one person per week
3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀
If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement.
Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice.
Have a great day, everyone.

The NFL playoffs didn't have many close match ups over wild card weekend, but it had some bitterly cold games. It doesn't get much better next weekend, with Buffalo and Baltimore hosting games.
Many of us had off yesterday, including myself. Hence, the short week to get in nominations for the Nice Guy/Gal Awards.
