Cost for a family to go to a baseball game 2023 • The Los Angeles Dodgers are the most costly team to see, costing $219 for a family of four. The Miami Marlins are the least expensive team at $83. • The most affordable Boston Red Sox tickets cost $35.90, on average. That’s double the overall MLB average cheap ticket price of $17.67. • When the New York Yankees are on the road, ticket prices for the competing home team have the largest increase of any other visiting team. • Attending a game between “natural rivals,” such as a Chicago Cubs vs. Chicago White Sox, costs families an average of $48 more. • Seeing a game on a weekday rather than a weekend (Fri-Sun) can save families $25, on average. You are right, but I think that MLB franchises care less about individual and family single game attendees. Streaming, corporate box rentals, merchandise sales, and the accumulation of revenue streams from ownership of assets adjacent to stadiums will become more important revenue streams.
One more reason to hate the Red Sox. And the team is terrible. $215 to sit behind a pole. At what point does it become unreasonable for fans to pay those prices? ... Good on Seattle: cheap parking and eats in an expensive city.
Bill Lucey per the response from Michael Critelli, best to watch the baseball games from your comfort of your homes with hotdogs, popcorns, and beverages at reasonable costs. 🫶🙏
Michael Critelli, you are a baseball enthusiast, what’s your thoughts on the cost of baseball to a family and can the increasing cost be sustained.
Thanks. That’s good information to have.

11moThese numbers actually feel a bit low, to me. I’m no expert, but the food and drink costs for a family of 4 are astronomical.
