Did you know that Brym Tumblers are versatile enough to work well with non-alcoholic beverages too? The low-alcohol drinks industry is growing fast and there are many new innovative products available. People are drinking less alcohol, but still want to enjoy a special drink. Brands are creating new low-alcohol beers and spirits that provide the same complexity and satisfaction as traditional drinks. Brym is a company that promotes these new drinks by offering reusable cups/tumblers with the brand's name etched on them. In 2014, Seedlip, a non-alcoholic gin-like drink, was introduced and it was only available in Selfridges for £35. However, today, many more affordable non-alcoholic spirits are available. Producers are creating non-alcoholic versions of vermouth, amaro, amaretto, and coffee liqueur, and the selection continues to grow. Brym offers a better visibility for these brands on shelves. Non-alcoholic beer has also improved in quality and visibility in recent years. When served in Brym cups, these drinks taste better as they maintain the perfect temperature. In the UK, anything under 0.5% alcohol is not restricted under licensing laws. Some products are labelled "low-alcohol" at 0.5%, rather than "alcohol-free." These products are unlikely to make you drunk, and some foods contain as much or more alcohol. We have tested a wide range of no and low-alcohol drinks including aperitifs, pre-mixed mocktails, and alternatives to beer, gin, and rum. All of the drinks tasted great when served in Brym cups. We followed the serving suggestions from the brands and sampled the drinks in various ways. Our testing criteria focused on sweetness, acidity, aroma, taste, mouthfeel, and lasting finish. In conclusion, there are many great-tasting low-alcohol drink options available. People are embracing non-alcoholic alternatives and drinking less. Brym is a perfect way to enjoy a satisfying drink while also promoting low-alcohol brands. I was directly messaged by someone regarding a recent post, I did ask them to share their opinion in the post, but they didn't feel comfortable. So for rest of you here's some facts... Some quite fun too, enjoy. 😉 A lot of AF beers with be 0.5% alcohol content - due to the process of making beer. Can you get drunk off this? No. Your body metabolises this amount of alcohol faster than you can feel any effect. Did you know the alcohol content of any of the following? ↪ Ripe and very ripe bananas - between 0.2-0.4% ABV ↪ Breads (burger rolls, rye bread) - between 1.18-1.28% ABV ↪ Fruit & Fruit juices (grape, orange, apple) - between 0.04-0.5% ABV ↪ Yogurt & Kefir - between 0.05-2% ABV ↪ Kombucha (usually made from grapes) - between 0.5-5% ABV ↪ Vinegars (balsamic, sherry, wine vinegar) - between 0.1-0.4% ABV ↪ Food additives like extracts or flavourings - up to 35% ABV ↪ Condiments like mustard and soy sauce - between 1.5-2% ABV ↪ Some soft drinks - up to 0.5% ABV There are plenty of 0.0% AF beers on the market. In the main picture, I tried this in my local Italian last weekend - Menebrau - this is amazing! Really tasty! It’s peculiar to witness such vehement opposition to non-alcoholic drinks at a time when breweries are closing at levels not seen since the 1990s and wine consumption continues its multi-year decline. These are industries in flux, struggling to maintain market share. Instead of deriding a burgeoning sector, critics should recognize the commercial opportunity non-alcoholic beverages present. The market is speaking and it's time to listen. Non-alcoholic drinks are not a fleeting trend; the category is poised to grow at 7.4% CAGR between 2024 and 2030. This movement is not exclusive to North America. In fact, countries like Spain, Germany, and Japan have long embraced non-alcoholic options, integrating them seamlessly into their beverage cultures. Creating non-alcoholic beer and wine is a complex, nuanced, and expensive process. Whether by halting fermentation prematurely or removing alcohol from a fully fermented product, these methods require a sophisticated understanding of science and craftsmanship. To label these products as “fake” or merely “juice” is to fundamentally misunderstand the intricacies of their production.   Yes, the category is new and has a long way to go before it can perfectly recreate the experience of full-strength alcoholic beverages. This may never be achieved, but the strides made in just the past five years are remarkable. Companies like Gruvi have demonstrated significant improvements in taste and quality thanks to new technologies and a deeper understanding of the production process. To dismiss non-alcoholic beverages outright is as shortsighted as writing off a talented 16-year-old baseball player before the draft has happened. Give it time. The potential for growth and improvement is immense. The category is still in its early stages, and we should be excited to see how it evolves. Everyone relax. What’s most striking is the failure of critics to recognize one of the primary objectives of our products: removing the shame and stigma associated with not drinking. This inclusivity is at the heart of what we do. People come from diverse backgrounds with unique lifestyles, health goals, and personal stories. Our products are designed to meet these varied needs, offering a sense of belonging and support to everyone on their individual journey. The emotional bond people form with our products is profound.
