"Placemaking is magic and the power lies within partnerships" It was brilliant to attend yesterday's morning panel hosted by 3Search and Charlotte Titmuss with Alice Bodill-Maher, hearing from marketing teams leading some of the biggest urban regeneration projects across London and beyond. Having started my marketing career focusing on exactly this (from a local shopping centre to London mixed use campuses and retail across the country) it's really interesting to hear how this industry continues to evolve and embrace the changes that consumers want to experience when choosing where to spend their time. However, whilst all the key points are tangible to other areas of marketing (know your audience, data wins over opinion) it was great to reflect on how, post covid and in a changing era, countryside and rural businesses are also embracing placemaking to open up access to local communities, encourage tourism and deliver positive experiences for all. It's great to see what our team are doing with clients in this space to diversify their offering - from vineyards, to shepherd's huts, park runs and wedding venues - the concept of 'placemaking' has never been so important! #placemaking #businessdiversification
