It can often feel like we have to put on a different persona when we step into the office. We worry about conforming to expectations, fitting into molds and can often lose our individuality in the process. Let's break free from this! In a meeting with one of my teams last week, the above sentiment was shared by someone who has been with Raising Cane's for 5+ years. The statement was so impactful to me! Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers in the City of Edwardsville, Illinois is now open!!! I had such an incredible time planning and executing the New Restaurant Opening for Edwardsville, Illinois. This community is full of so much spirit and support!! We are already incredible partners with some great organizations and cannot wait to continue to connect with those in the community! Our opening saw more than 500 people waiting for the doors to open and surpassed our opening day sales goal! We had support from the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon Chamber of Commerce, the Mayors office, Edwardsville Community Unit School District 7, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville athletics, cheer and dance and Edwardsville High School cheer and dance!! We also had mascots from each of the School Districts schools and Eddie the Cougar from SIUE Athletics!! Thank you to the local business unit teams for supporting the opening, our regional team, the Restaurant Leaders who joined us in supporting on the hottest day of the year, the area trainers, and our incredible New Restaurant Opening support and Growth teams!! A special shout out to the local crew, managers, Assistant Restaurant Leader and Restaurant Leader who are full of energy and excitement in this community!! I could not finish this post without giving a special shoutout to my right hand, Amanda McBride! I truly could not have pulled this off without you and I thank you so much for your guidance and support. (..and also for standing outside and working with me in the two hottest days of the year so far!!) We love this community and are excited to continue to serve you all the perfect box! #OneLove ☝🏾❤️
