Jah & Jahes love. I wish that one of these women would adopt me or create a program for low-wealth and struggling black women. I have never, ever, benefitted from the philanthropy of any of these women. But, they reportedly give millions away each year in gifts and stuff. Today, I had the incredible opportunity to explore how we can make the public sector a place where EVERYONE feels like they truly belong. One key takeaway that struck a chord with me? The notion that "no" is simply a temporary pause, not a permanent roadblock – “no is just a no for today”. When we encounter obstacles or resistance in our quest to create a more inclusive environment, it's essential to remember that every setback is just a steppingstone on the path to progress. Sometimes, you must go back and reframe, reimagine, and reignite our commitment to fostering belonging in the workplace. When we prioritize belonging, we pave the way for a brighter, more vibrant future for ALL. #BelongingMatters #PublicSectorPioneers #CultureMatters
