It's become clear that consumers of all ages are increasingly relying on these authentic user videos to SHOW them (rather than just TELL) why a product is right for them, so they can be confident in making their purchase.
When it comes to Kitchen Appliances, this means demonstrating the different features/settings and how the buttons work, pulling out drawers/compartments to show capacity, displaying the appliance on the user's kitchen counter to get a sense of size & style, hearing the sounds the product makes while in use, etc.
Consumers need to see the appliance in a real kitchen and being used in real life scenarios that are familiar and relatable to them. Doing so is far more convincing than any advertisement or purely text-based review could ever be.

According to this study, 82% of over 250 consumers who plan to buy a new kitchen appliance in the next 12 months find video reviews on online retailer product pages very or extremely important for making their purchase decisions. 📊
User Video Reviews not only demonstrate product features and real-life usage but also offer a sense of authenticity and reliability that text reviews or product descriptions alone cannot match. They enable consumers to see appliances in action, providing a clearer understanding of performance and usability.
For retailers, this means actively encouraging and facilitating the creation of video reviews by satisfied customers.
