I was in Dallas a few weeks ago, massive highways. They're building communities. I mean it's an explosion out there as well. Yeah, but they're building, they're putting in the infrastructure and and they'll put in a an 8 lane highway and then they'll put in another eight lane highway just adjacent to it because of the anticipation. You build it and they will come. So they built the infrastructure right first before the and then like kind of the transit oriented development you talk about, we're going to build a. The Bright Line station here, right. And then the rental communities and the buildings are going to gather around the Bright Line station like and where they're doing that, Maryland, DC. So you need local policy to drive that. And we're not though the Bright Line is a very good but very microcosmic example of how it should be done. Yeah. The problem is everything around Bright Line is already developed and we don't have any other place to put more infrastructure and there's no way. The government's gonna come in and start condemning and doing eminent domain to take out the neighborhood. Well, hopefully some of the lessons that can be learned here will be applied in other places where there's new development going on. As you go north of Fort Pierce, for example, there there's lots of construction going on. Yeah, it looks like. It looks like they're building infrastructure and then building around the infrastructure, which is hopefully the right way to do it in my opinion, where you can. Anticipate growth and you plan for it now as opposed to building A2 lane highway, building everything around it and then realizing ohh, wow, we have enough population for an 8 lane highway. Now what do you do? You're literally taking down neighborhoods and communities and eminent domain is very expensive. It's very complicated And because we have 90 city, over 90 municipalities and just the South Florida area, you're coordinating between local government, county government, the state. Government, yeah. And and federal government, if there's funding coming from it, nothing gets done that way.

The author says that the current wide-ranging problems with our infrastructure can be traced back to a period of under-investment between the mid-1980s and mid-2000s which was never addressed in subsequent years. Infrastructure decision-making in recent decades has been undermined by “ideological biases from both the left and right” that make future work plans “uncertain and lumpy”. Poor short term decision making and a lack of planning spanning many years. Please sign the petition below to stop the likes of BT Openreach installing poles in places where haven't had poles before to get new infrastructure in without planning permission. Press release: Brand new petition to prevent ANY new infrastructure being installed in our streets without prior planning approval. Please share as widely as possible as quickly as possible. Remove Permitted Development Rights for all additional street infrastructure Government must remove permitted development rights for ALL additional street infrastructure, so businesses must apply for permission to the Local Planning Authorities on proposed installations. We believe additional unnecessary street infrastructure is causing massive overbuild and is blighting our communities.
