Yes, I am a beginner - at skiing that is ⛷ I can do the green (easy) slopes but I don't enjoy the faster blue slopes. Red - no way, black - I'll be dead. But that is now, I will get better with time and PRACTICE on the slopes. I also got a lesson from a coach to help me develop better technique. My question today is, where do you go back to being a beginner? Where do you look to improve your technique and challenge yourself about what you 'know'? Do you have a coach and most importantly, do you make time to practise what you want to improve at? I'm interested in your stories both in management learning and skiing.

We're off skiing today - week 2 of 3 weeks in a row. Here are my 7 surprising outcomes from my skiing lessons with a coach: 1) Each fall teaches resilience beyond skiing. 2) A coach's perspective unlocked my potential. 3) The coach's guidance transcends the activity. 4) Incremental gains in skiing echoed personal growth. 5) Progress, though subtle, became profoundly satisfying. 6) Overcoming slopes paralleled overcoming life's hurdles. 7) Patience to push through frustration mirrors life's rhythm. Hello, 2024! Soon, I will begin my final semester at Uni (how fast did that go?), and throughout my uni experience, I have realised how I can use my previous experiences in skiing as strengths as a marketeer. This is what I have learnt: ⚡ 10 years of competing in skiing taught me to just go for it! 💬 3 seasons working as a ski instructor helped me understand my guest's needs and wants, and how to communicate with them. 💡 Completing my Level 3 Instructor Course (Offpiste guide, advanced terrain and snowboard instructor) in German taught me to not to be afraid of challenging myself. 🌞 Have fun!! My parents introduced me to skiing, and I now share that passion with my family and friends.
