🚀 Hey LinkedIn fam! 🌐 Along this Azure 104 learning journey, I've also been hands-on with two exciting projects that added valuable practical experience to my learning: *Project 1: Building a Secure Virtual Network in Azure* Created and configured a virtual network in Azure. Deployed two virtual machines into different subnets of the virtual network. Ensured stable public IP addresses for the virtual machines. Secured the virtual machine public endpoints from internet access. Set up internal Azure VM names and IP address resolution. Enabled external domain name resolution. *Project 2: Replicating On-Premises Functionality in Azure* Configured virtual network peering and optimized traffic routing. load balancer and application gateway functionalities. Conducted thorough testing to validate traffic management. Azure Image Builder was updated behind the scenes, and it now uses Azure Container Instances (ACI) as part of its build process. They are calling this Isolated Builds. According to the docs: "Your image builds are automatically migrated to Isolated Image Builds and you need to take no action to opt in." The only reason I know this is because I tried to run a build of an existing Image Template. It failed because it tried to create a new Virtual Network for ACI, which was blocked by Azure Policy in my environment. This happened even though I specified a existing private Virtual Network in my Image Template. This led me to a lot of investigation, where I eventually stumbled upon the new Isolated Builds feature. Anyways, I took this opportunity to update my pair of blog posts about Azure Image Builder. I fully dissect everything that is happening now with ACI and Isolated Builds.
