Hi, my name is Ray Johnston, Managing Director for Port Hospitality Group and Beauport Hotel here in beautiful Gloucester, MA. Beauport Hotel was built in 2016. The design of the hotel was done by Peter Nimitz, a well known interior designer for hotels and clubs and restaurants. The owners vision was to build something that was inspired by the grand hotels of the past. We are a 94 room hotel. We have a large restaurant and bar here as well beautiful dining deck overlooking Gloucester Harbour. We have our rooftop pool. Bar that's on one side, you've overlooked the beautiful Blaster Harbor. On the other side you see the beautiful city, especially at night. The lights are beautiful. Now our guests just truly love the lobby. It's done beautifully with furniture and lots of great artwork and it's nice and cozy by the fire and the winter time and even in the cooler nights in the summer, we use it as well. We also have beach cruisers in the summer and we have concierge services that helps our guests with all their restaurant reservations, activities and attractions in the area. We have a beautiful restaurant. It's not only for our hotel guests, but very welcoming for our public and our community here. Well, people come from all over. It's a special occasion restaurant and it's also a place you can come grab a beer at a bar next to a fisherman and Chef John will tell you more about that. Hi, my name is John McKinney. I'm the executive chef here at the 1606 restaurant and Oyster Bar. Thanks for joining us today. A 1606 restaurant and oyster bar is a cozy New England coastal dining with the modern American player. We have a nice cozy dining room and a wonderful deck with fire pits, some great ocean views. It was sort of modern American fare with the focus on local fresh seafood and produce. We work closely with the. Of local companies to get stuff that's landed even here right in Gloucester. Feel a lot of crowd favorites. Would you try to change our menu seasonally? One of the new programs that we started last winter was our conservative program. We get them in right from Portugal with the great selection Tuna, Octopus Sardines. We also have an Australian Wagyu Tomahawk on the menu. That is one of those dishes that when one leaves the kitchen, you know a few more are gonna follow when people start seeing it. Our tower is one of our most popular sellers and gives a great selection of everything that we tend to offer. The beverage program here at 1606 is top notch. And we're focusing on local sustainable fresh ingredients, organic products, working with local vendors really to be the best we can make with our beverage program. We have drinks paired with our raw bar items, for example, Wild Heart which has fresh cilantro, reposado, tequila and espelette liqueur. And up and coming attractions include Garden Jubilee which has house infused Raspberry gin and dry sparkling Riesling on top. Thanks for joining us here at 1606 today. We hope you come and visit us whether it's a nice day out on the deck or for Saturday and Sunday at our Oyster bar for Shock and Lux. It's always a great time.
