The release of the National Robotics Strategy is a step in the right direction to ensure that the talent and technologies we produce here in Australia find an environment that encourages them to stay in Australia...
And export to the world.
Member for Chifley, Minister for Industry and Science
We have incredible talent in this country that can help us make more things in Australia. We need to back them more.
You may not know it but Australia is a world leader in #robotics.
We can design, manufacture and put in place more Australian made robotics and #automation to help our manufacturers compete against the world.
Our government has released the country’s first ever National Robotics Strategy to help support our agenda for a Future Made In Australia.
Thanks so much to our Robotics Advisory Committee who helped put the strategy together: Chair Bronwyn Fox, Catherine Ball @Hugh Durrant-Whyte Andrew DettmerSue KeaySimon LuceyJulia Powles and Mike Zimmerman

Ed Husic MP Dear Minister, Respectfully, I disagree with the notion of Australia focusing on manufacturing. Like California and Israel, our strength lies in ideas generation and problem solving, not industrial production.
California and Israel don't manufacture much, but they excel in nurturing ideas, market testing, and leveraging them into global markets. Atlassian and Canva are prime examples.
Many inventors I've helped struggled because Australian manufacturing costs are significantly higher than offshore alternatives.
I believe we should mobilize around our problem solvers. By quickly addressing issues and incentivizing medium to large businesses to collaborate with these innovators, we can demonstrate that Australian solutions can be more effective and efficient. Moreover, these businesses should be encouraged to share in the success when these innovations are licensed or distributed globally.

Tesla's Optimus robot has just demonstrated an incredible level of dexterity and control by folding shirts 😐
The first grab of the shirt by the left hand as it was swinging and unfolding was beyond impressive. while it's not yet able to do this autonomously, it's only a matter of time before the humanoid robot can do this fully autonomously and in an arbitrary environment.
undoubtedly, this is the greatest robot demo we have ever seen by a mile.
welcome to feature of robotics! 🤖

The Rise of the Machines (But Friendly Ones, We Hope): Apple Explores Domestic Robotics!
Remember the whispers and speculation surrounding the Apple Car? Well, dust off your Jetsons predictions because the tech titan seems to be setting its sights on a new frontier: domestic robots! Following the sunsetting of its ambitious car project, Apple is exploring the exciting potential of home robotics, potentially positioning it as the "next big thing" according to a recent Bloomberg report.

Remember when Tesla’s humanoid robot was just an ambitious idea?
Well, it’s come a long way. 🤖
The latest version of Optimus, Tesla's versatile humanoid robot, has advanced from early prototypes to performing tasks like serving drinks and watering plants.
At the event ‘We, Robot’ Optimus mingled with attendees, presumably to show off its small talk capabilities rather than to scout for the inevitable robot uprising.
The estimated price for this is between $20,000 to $30,000.
Elon believes that the future isn’t just about self-driving cars, it’s about robots that can walk your dog and babysit your kids.
But what could possibly go wrong with that level of trust?
Share this with someone who’s as excited (or maybe freaked out) about where robotics is heading.
