We were proud to sponsor the 19th annual Mayor’s Sunday is Funday in Rio Rancho this past weekend. Utopia Dental provided dental screenings in the Care Van while guests enjoyed the family style picnic event. Event proceeds will benefit youth programs in Rio Rancho.

We are 10 days away from Expunge Colorado's 7th annual record sealing clinic! It has been 7 years of putting on a record sealing event in Denver, free to the community, where we literally change people's lives for the better. Expunge Colorado's mission is to enable people to move forward from their criminal records. We do this through our 3 pillars of service: education, advocacy and offering pro bono record sealing services. What's different about this year compared to the other years is for the first time our application for clinic opened and closed within 24 hours. Our capacity was reached in 24 hours! In 72 hours, we had 100+ people on a waitlist to be notified for the next record sealing event in 2025. This proves that our pro bono legal services for petition-based record sealing is at an all-time high. Expunge Colorado provides an essential service to people who are in need of jobs, housing and a chance to move forward with dignity from their past. We cannot do this work without the help of sponsors and donors. If you believe in criminal justice reform, reparative justice, and social equity and are in a position to donate, please consider our local 501c3 nonprofit. The funds will go towards food, supplies and the work that continues weeks after the clinic. We have a crowdsourcing campaign with a goal to reach 5K: https://lnkd.in/gqVw2Zsi I'll leave you with a few testimonials from our Intake application: “This would help me regain dignity in all aspects of my life. I just want to thank all the professionals willing to help us get our lives back!” “I really hope you can help me and i look forward to moving in a brighter future for myself and my family!” “Thank you very much for your assistance in this process. I very much appreciate it, and it will have a dramatic impact on my life.” #ExpungeColorado #criminaljusticereform #secondchances #recordsealing #expungement #Coloradononprofit #nonprofit

👏Congratulations to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago for a successful event and to Nicolas Michuda and Sydney for conquering the challenge! Let's get to work....all the way to the top! 💡 Here are some fun facts regarding stairs for architects and contractors: ➡ The Roman architect Vitruvius established the first guidelines for the stair in the first century B.C, suggesting a 37-degree pitch. Most stairs are not dramatically different today. ➡ The 19th century is regarded by many as the golden era of stair construction. In the 20th century architects gave prominence to lifts. Now, with the emergence of ‘active design’, architects are once again making stairs more prominent. #climbhigher
Scaling heights for a heartwarming cause! Our Project Manager, Nicolas Michuda, and his fiancé, Sydney, conquered 80 floors at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago Aon Step Up for Kids event! Their climb supports young patients and their families at Lurie’s Children’s with proceeds benefiting K.I.D.S.S. for Kids, Inc. Together, we’re making a difference, one step at a time!

Not only does Feed the Children help children around the world, but they are headquartered right here in OKC making an impact locally, nationally, and globally. I loved getting to attend the grand opening of the FEED's Partner Market! This new program is based out of our distribution center in Oklahoma City where local partner organizations can shop for the products they need - whether that be food, cleaning items, hygiene, and even books. Did you know that 15% of people live below the poverty line right here in Oklahoma City? With the Partner Market, FEED is working to create measurable, sustained impact, and create a world where no child goes to bed hungry. https://lnkd.in/dpg2Jc35
Feed the Children is proud to announce the grand opening of our OKC Partner Market this past week! This pilot program will allow our local partner organizations to self-select the resources they need for their own communities from our distribution center. “Our local community partners don’t have the ability to store pallets of food, but they need a variety that’s right for their community. So we’ve opened our Partner Market, giving them the ability to select foods and essential items that SNAP benefits don’t cover: things like detergent and shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes," said Julie Laird Davis, Sr. Vice President of Strategic Partnerships & Individual Giving. Thank you to our partners Oklahoma City Indian Clinic, Sisu Youth Services, the OK City Center, Light and Salvation Church, and Pivot for attending the launch!

It's finally Conference Girl Summer! Kicking off summer conference season with The National Energy and Utility Affordability Coalition (NEUAC) in the best city :) If you're attending, please join me on Thursday morning for "Putting the Knowledge in Technology," a session exploring how members are using data and technology to improve service and access to assistance for limited income households, and what more we could do if we worked together. You can weigh in on whether NEUAC should stand up a data and technology working group! On Friday, dreams come true, I'll be moderating a panel called, "Improv and Advocacy." YES, AND, it's sold out. This conference is so much fun and each year I learn so much. If it wasn't on your calendar this year, add it for 2025. https://lnkd.in/gzPzhzp2

In the realm of major gift & capital campaign fundraising -one thing is for certain... Volunteerism is a key to raising significant revenues, accessing advocates to further the cause has no price but has great value. It can't be done with them. I recently said to a Founder of a wonderful organization that nothing happens without a 'champion'. Often this is a passionate volunteer who freely gives of their time, talent, and treasure. But what about us who are 'paid to raise'? Do we need to give of our time as well? Absolutely. I am a better practitioner because of my unpaid involvements in organizations like Rotary International, AFP Global, among others. Today I wish to let you know about an organization that I volunteer with, that is all volunteer run -no paid staff at all. M4M www.Medals4Mettle.org was started by Dr. Steve Isenberg MD almost 20 years ago. Competitive runners like myself award medals to cancer patients, plus others with life-threatening conditions. Both children and adults who are in the throws of cancer are the recipients of medals to encourage them in their own race. to date, an astounding 70,000 medals have been given. Wow. The medals are awarded to individuals who are "running a much more difficult race," often with an unknown finish line. The mission of M4M is to appreciate the pay-it-forward concept that links the distance runner’s mettle with the mettle it takes to battle life challenges. The donor's acknowledgement of the recipient's mettle encourages the recipient and creates a human connection honouring the grit, courage, and bravery they share. #medals4mettle #doitbecause

Friends and Colleagues, As many of you know, I am a passionate Board Member for Dallas Pets Alive! One of the biggest fundraising events for us is TODAY, North Texas Giving Day. Our goal today is to raise $115,000 so we can continue our amazing life-saving work! If you’re looking to give back, please consider donating to Dallas Pets Alive. Every bit helps and makes a big impact! ❤️ Thank you for your support! 🙏 https://lnkd.in/gsZdDbjw More about Dallas Pets Alive: Your support during North Texas Giving Day is not just a donation; it's a lifeline. Every gift you make goes directly to programs that are transforming the lives of animals and their humans. Our Foster and Adoption program is a beacon of hope for the most at-risk animals in our partner shelters, while our preventative programs—like PASS, Dogs Matter, and Bark Dorm—work tirelessly to keep pets out of shelters and in loving homes. These initiatives are not just about rescue; they're about building healthier, stronger communities where animals and people thrive together. The need is urgent. Many of the pets that come into our care have medical conditions so severe that shelters simply can't provide the care they need. Over a third of the animals we help are Major Medical Cases, requiring $1,000 or more in medical expenses. In 2023 alone, we spent more than $400,000 on treatments ranging from basic vaccinations to heartworm treatment and life-saving surgeries. This year, as we've taken on the incredible work of Dogs Matter and face the overwhelming overcrowding in North Texas shelters, the number of animals in our care has more than doubled. For the first time, we have more than 500 animals relying on our programs. While we've made strides in fundraising, the financial demands have outpaced our resources.
Every year, amazing supporters like you come together for Dallas Pets Alive on North Texas Giving Day. Your contributions are indispensable; they fuel our ability rescue animals and transform lives. We need your support now more than ever! This is our Excutive Director, Leslie Sans with one of our adoptable dogs, Sparkles, to remind you that you have the power to save lives. There is no donation too small — every little bit makes a world of difference to a pet in need. https://lnkd.in/dkrKMr2G https://lnkd.in/gGBFxgpw
