Nanite Tessellation interaction with the new water shader. It's way more appealing than Parallax in this instance! The tessellation writing to the Scene Depth allows the water shader to realistically fade its own opacity for PBR materials; not just the topology!

#NVR (Network Video Recording) and false positives. Two words if you have been in this game long enough you will be familiar with. Tree's that move, a spider climbing over a lens, all create noise to the point you tune out. Argh. 😫 We have come a long way using models like #Tensorflow Lite at the edge, but whats your NVR solution doing? In this months post I get building with Google's #Coral #TPU, #Frigate, #Portainer, #Docker and a Pi5 to build a NVR that uses #NFS storage (don't want to destroy the PI's MicroSD), consumes #RTSP feeds but most importantly it plays nicely with upstream systems by publishing detections and thumbnails to a #MQTT bus for consumption by upstream systems like HomeAssistant to provide that 'Ring' like experience (thumbnails and video notifications). Take that step forward, and come build with me. This post is end-2-end and will allow you to get up and running with what has a lot of steps, fast. https://lnkd.in/gS4DbRXe

No more ugly routs with TypeSafety Navigation :) You can define routes with a class or data class for routes with arguments and an object for routes without arguments. That object(s) or class(es) must be serializable. So you have to annotate those classes using @Serializable annotation. Next, you need to define your navigation graph, then you can use the composable() function to define composables(Screens) as destinations in your navigation graph. 😊 Here is an example: #jetpackcompose #navigation #composenavigation #composetypesafetynavigation

Building Density In Berlin - DuckDB with H3 and Overture Maps on Honeycomb Maps Trying out Honeycomb with some Overture data. What this image doesn't convey is that when you zoom in and out enough the hexagons change size instantly. I'll try and put a video together to demonstrate that. I think this is a great use case for H3, because when you're zoomed all the way out you don't need to see every point, and as you zoom in the color of the cells helps you find your way. #duckdb #h3 #honeycomb #overturemaps

Question for my carto buddies: is there a tool that would let you create a Mercator projection map around a different great circle, rather than the equator? Eg, around the 0°/180° longitude line.
