Green Engineering: The Solution to Environmental Hazards In this write up we will be considering Green Engineering which entails what it is, how comes such engineering and why is it important. Join me on this voyage as we delve into the field of Green Engineering. First, you light be wondering what Green Engineering is. Green engineering utilizes engineering processes and methods that minimize pollution, improve a business' sustainability and decrease the potential for health issues caused by unsafe manufacturing and design methods. This is termed as the Engineering of the future. Indeed, its crucial one has an understanding of what it is to help in creating the Green environment we all dream of, which is one free from every form environmental hazard. Now, having understood what it is. How come such an engineering is what's next. From the above paragraph we have understood what it is and what issues it addresses. This leads us to how it came to be. The issue of environmental hazard required a solution to it because of its harm to people and the environment. This brought about the need for green engineering. As it is said; necessity is mother of all inventions. Having considered the above, it is key to know the importance that green engineering contributes to the society. This could also be known as the benefit. Here are several benefits that a company may experience after implementing green engineering practices: • Waste reduction • Materials management • Pollution prevention • Product enhancement • Improves a company's reputation • Minimizes energy or production waste • Provides tax incentives • Helps global environment This field of engineering has led to the development of materials that has helped to achieve the goals of green engineering such materials include; biodegradable cups and straws, Enhanced industrial emission filters, Wastewater treatment, Radiant floors and Plant-based cooling. These and many more inventions are still unfolding. This field of engineering really looks promising in the sense of its peculiar contributions to humanity and the environment.
