Brand partnership • Experienced Sterile Processing Technician with 5 Years in Decontamination & Sterilization Seeking Local Employment in Nashville
I am writing this review to provide feedback regarding Kristie Davis, who serves as a supervisor in the Sterile Processing Department at Nashville General Hospital. Unfortunately, my experience working with her was highly negative, and I want to share my observations to warn potential future employees about the challenges you may face. Firstly, Kristie is not a team player. When the workload becomes overwhelming for the staff, Kristie does not take initiative to assist or offer support. Instead, she often seems disengaged, preferring to spend time on Facebook while tasks pile up. Despite this, she is quick to complain if instruments are not assembled or processed on time, though she offers little constructive help. Kristie’s communication style is another major issue. She frequently uses curse words and raises her voice to the point of shouting, creating a tense and unprofessional work environment. Her inability to communicate effectively with her team has driven away multiple new hires, who quickly left after experiencing the chaotic department culture. Moreover, she is resistant to feedback or suggestions on improving the department’s efficiency, often acting as though she operates independently of the rest of the team. To make matters worse, Kristie frequently complains about headaches and expresses a desire to go home, sometimes leaving the department abruptly without proper notice. I hope this review serves as a cautionary note for those considering a role in this department. Proceed with caution and use your discretion when applying. #NashvilleGeneralCare #CommunityHealthcare #TrustedCareNashville #PatientFirstNGH #NashvilleMedicalExcellence

Recently I spent some time at a hospital (I am doing fine now, thank you!). I noticed that care is provided by teams of doctors. A senior doctor, couple of juniors, then fellows and residents. It's comparatively easy to measure how good these teams are. You can simply look at patient outcomes. And it's well known that there are high performing medical teams and low performing ones. Researchers looked at what makes a high performance medical team, high performing. They collected data. Expectation was the such teams consisted of better, more experienced doctors who made fewer mistakes. Data showed something else. High performing teams made more mistakes. Far more than lower performing teams! What on earth is going on! 😲 A closer look revealed the true story. A high performing team simply reported more mistakes. While low performing teams did not. By reporting mistakes, high performers learned from them, avoiding repeating them and building processes to prevent them. There is another layer to the proverbial onion. Only teams where there was psychological safety reported mistakes. Teams with a culture of blaming each other, hid their mistakes and missed out on the learning oppurtunity. If you are in the business of building high performing team, stop blaming people for their mistakes! 🙂 #highperformingteams #blameculture #takeaccountability
