👩🏽💻5 months and 5 days at my new job I happened to check my tenure on Hibob today. It got me thinking, if this isn't a sign to finally make an offical post about it - then what else is?! Looking back, I've been wanting to talk about my onboarding and the work I've been doing. Because honestly, I've never been happier heading to work in the morning. 👉🏻 Let's rewind to August when I joined Euronics Estonia I was welcomed warmly, and my initial worries about having to know everything from day one were unfounded. The onboarding here is something else – meetings with leaders from different departments gave me a clear picture of how things work, where we've been, and our plans for the future. Big shoutout to the HR team for putting together an excellent onboarding program. 💯 And a shoutout to my amazing marketing team. I've never felt more supported at work by the incredible people around me. Many thanks again! 💙 Starting 5 months ago, I never imagined I would have opportunities to create truly awesome things at work. Even if society tells us working 9-5 is not the right thing to do these days - turns out, work can be something that brings you joy and makes you come in with a smile on your face. 🤭 Finishing up the first post of the year, I believe it's a fantastic opportunity to announce that we currently have open positions within our team. I did, but it still made me feel weird. I am proud of everywhere I've worked and everything I've done. People might not have time to read every line of a long resume, but the traits these roles required are still inside me. I can't just stop doing "customer service" or stop trying to fix your broken computer. If you ask me for help, I will oblige. If there is a messy warehouse, I will clean it up. This is who I am. This is my journey.

Earlier today, I shared the story of one of our team members leaving Modi Toys last Friday. We knew the day was coming for months so we had been prepared with his replacement, who was fully trained. In fact, this new hire seemed so promising that we began envisioning his path to promotion. But, as luck would have it, he pulled a 180 on us. Didn't show up to work last week, stopped responding to messages, and didn't return any calls. We spoke to his wife, so at least we knew he was well and alive, but she didn't offer much details about his whereabouts. Struggles like these don't get the spotlight because as small business owners, we're often busy putting out multiple fires at once (oh BTW, did I mention we're out of stock on 2 of our best selling items during Prime Day??!) And on that note, we're hiring an Operations Assistant in Edison, NJ, if you know anyone that may be interested!
