My team took me to task last week. 👩🏻 👩🏿 👩 👩🏽 As women, we often find ourselves navigating the delicate balance between staying in our lane, remaining humble, and not wanting to appear boastful. And last week, my team posed a question that sparked a powerful introspection: "Why don't we talk more publicly about our successes in executive search?" This got me thinking over the weekend about how humility, while a virtue, should not overshadow the achievements and skills of our teams, nor of ourselves. There's a thin line between humility and underselling the remarkable work we've done, especially in placing leaders for some truly iconic firms. For too long, I've associated sharing accomplishments with arrogance, asking myself, "Who do you think you are anyway?" What a fantastic week... Time well spent with our Global Field Leadership Team. First time ever to pull this group of leaders to one location and challenge, celebrate and break bread together. - 136 leaders. - 9 countries. - 16 different nationalities. - Age range from 24 - 50+ (no names!). - Equal gender split. The power of the group, and the diversity of our teams is humbling.
