These size aircraft have the exact same RCS (Radar Cross Section) as many Group 3 drones. When I trained C-UAS operations at bases that had small airfields nearby, mostly used for private aircraft, our team had to really hammer the idea into the operators that they had to fight complacency while monitoring C2 systems like the FAAD. They needed to investigate each incoming track by "hooking" for further investigation and possible airspace deconfliction. Building a fast and efficient airspace deconfliction process is one of the hardest things we helped with. It is one of the core fundamentals of C-UAS. I'll write more about fundamentals later. I know for a fact that we have been hit due to complacency and over burdensome deconfliction processes in the past. Sadly, sometimes it took a base getting hit to make the process streamlined enough. The challenges are immense in the C-UAS world. We all must work together to conceive and test new concepts to fight UAS/V.
Behold a pair of converted Aeroprakt A-22 Foxbats that are thought to have been used on the recent successful deep strike of the Shaheed factory 1,300km inside of Russia. These vehicles are estimated to be able to deliver 300kg warheads 2000-3000km. Impressive ingenuity from the Ukrainians. #ukraine #uav

Yes, #India did use #drones during the 1999 #KargilWar along the Line of Control (LOC). Here are the key points about India's use of drones in that conflict: •India first employed military drones during the 1999 Kargil War with #Pakistan for reconnaissance purposes along the Line of Control. • #Israel supplied India with IAI Heron and Searcher drones specifically for reconnaissance missions during the Kargil conflict. •The drones were primarily used for photo-reconnaissance and surveillance along the Line of Control to gather intelligence on Pakistani positions and movements. •The use of drones helped Indian forces understand and estimate the scale of Pakistani infiltration, which initially took over a week to fully assess. •This marked India's entry into using unmanned aerial vehicles #UAV for #military operations, especially in challenging high-altitude terrain. •The experience gained from using drones in Kargil led India to further develop and expand its drone capabilities in subsequent years. •Since the Kargil War, India has continued to procure military drones from countries like Israel and the US, while also developing its own domestic UAV program through #DRDO. The use of drones in the Kargil War represented an important technological advancement for Indian military operations, providing crucial intelligence and surveillance capabilities in a difficult conflict zone.
