My model of #4QuarterLives is spreading. Everywhere I share this concept, as I did this week at a LinkedIn #TalentConnect Conference, heads nod. It resonates with people of all ages. The challenge ahead? 👉 Companies are designed for Q2. In fact, everything is. We need to redesign for an entirely new phase of life: healthy and engaged 3rd Quarters. It's new, it's powerful and it's waiting to get noticed. 👉 Individuals aren't preparing early enough for Q3. We all need to lean into this new phase of life if we want to enjoy its full potential. First we need to name it, then we need to learn to navigate it. Are you ready?

Avivah, I love your work and awareness raising on the quarters. I entered my Q3 last year and instead of dread I found a sense of purpose clarity and excitement ahead of me. I’m also passionate about diversity and see this as a key element, I consider having teams with mixed experience a game changer in the way we operate in business and with our clients. Our younger gen’s being better placed for innovation and next gen thinking, blended with industry experience individuals. 🙌

Love this new work of yours, Avivah Wittenberg-Cox! And, I am psyched beyond words to be in the Become category. :-) This framing really impacts climate and sustainability leadership. There's a massive amount of wisdom in the workforce that companies are not nurturing or holding onto. It matters, massively, for making big change quickly.

A refreshing perspective on the stages of life. I don’t plan to wait until I’m 75 to harvest though!

This is a brilliant way to frame the changes we're experiencing, and a wonderfully clear explanation of what they represent and how they came about. Thanks for the work you are doing in this field, Avivah Wittenberg-Cox.

Thank you Avivah Wittenberg-Cox for your important work over these years - I so appreciate this flexibility with metaphor - either Finance quarters - or seasons. For How to be a Perennial Lindsay McDonald and I have taken inspiration from these plants - resilient season after season - I guess, but your defintion, we are the "romantics"! You write: "If you are more of a romantic, literary type, you may be more comfortable with metaphors of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. But whatever you call it, the fundamentals of the Four Quarters remain the same. There is an arc, a challenge and a purpose to each quarter." Thank you for getting your work out into the world to help people reframe how they are living - as aging IS living.... 😄
