A snippet of the collaborative A.I. opera piece, "Song of the Ambassadors" (SoTA), that I composed at the opening ceremony for TED Conferences last year with text by K Allado-McDowell and multimedia by Refik Anadol. This piece explores our ever-changing relationship with A.I., merging traditional art and artificial intelligence. A pretty unique experience! ❓What would your life be like if you lived it dressed as a Piranha? 🥰 I have been fascinated by this series of ‘Masked Singer ‘ 3️⃣ very different finalists who got to astound us all with what each of them is capable of. 🤩 When unmasked , the first words from each were pretty much ‘ this has been the most fun ….ever’ 🎤 None moreso than winner Danny Jones of MacFly , who we now know, if we didn’t already, could have a Buble style solo career , ahead. He said after the win : 💫 ‘I’ve had the most amazing time, I can escape behind here and just be Piranha and sing these songs. I’ve learnt so much, I’m able to sing higher now just from being on this show. I am so happy, thank you!" 💭 Don’t we all deserve an experience like this ? 💫 Excelling at what we love and learning how to get even better with no fear of judgement ? 📉 I believe that every one who reads this has tons of untapped potential, yet we are often held back by fear of failure, criticism or what others will think . So ❓What would you do differently if no-one knew it was you ? ❓What can you do about that . ❓Who do you need to be to try it ? 🐟 And if it helps, imagine yourself in a virtual Piranha suit & see what happens #Growth #LeaveComfortZone #Fun

Sales Training, Mentoring, & Leadership | Sales Centre of Excellence | Empowering Sales Teams to Deliver Differentiating Value
Have you ever experienced a Chinese opera? Recently, Sarah and I stumbled upon an ancient Wind God festival at Tainan, Taiwan. It was Sarah’s first time attending, and we decided to immerse ourselves in this unique celebration. Chinese operas are captivating performances that blend dance, song, and martial arts. They often narrate popular stories, drawing the audience into a world of tradition and artistry. Interestingly, storytelling plays a crucial role in sales as well. When presenting solutions to clients, how you convey your message matters. Crafting a narrative that resonates with their struggles and demonstrates how your solutions can address their needs builds trust and understanding.

#INSTANTTURNOFF: Audience Amnesia I remember being at a conference in Budapest where the Conference Chair welcomed us all to Bucharest. Instant Turn off for the audience. There was another Gala evening at Lyon Opera where the well-known TV personality opening proceedings told us how lucky we were to be in this magnificent Parisian Opera House. (She was booed : Lyonnais HATE being compared to Parisians). Some speakers seem to have selective amnesia, when it comes to remembering the audience. It is no good talking about gangsta rap if your audience is mostly made up of Boomers. No good talking about dialling a phone number with a round finger gesture if your audience is GEN Z. Consider who your audience actually are before you take the stage : remember the importance of involving them, asking pertinent questions, and making them feel like active participants rather than passive observers. And especially .. get the names right ! When this little devil was at school in England, my unusual surname was so often mispronounced …that I had to come to live in France for it to be pronounced correctly ! If you are naming people … please ask them beforehand how their name is pronounced, or you will turn them off for life ! #publicspeakingtips #communication #conferences #leadership

The most valuable lessons I got when I met him: . . . (Backstage, before his show), Zakir Khan was educating another comedian on the #techniques of #storytelling , and as a lister of the conversation, I gleaned the following wisdom that every aspiring Public Speaker should carry dear to their hearts: 1. Be an 'Everyman', who could easily be anyone's neighbor—yes, that's the kind of #relatability and #closeness a speaker must establish with the audience. They will feel what you feel, only when you feel what they feel (read that once again); further describing the #situations , #emotions and #expressions in detail. 2. Be "Vulnerable" - Haven't you become weary of #motivational speeches in which the speaker emerges from life's fatal challenges and adversities like a lion unleashing the beast within? Everybody has their own battles to fight, so it's okay if the tiny victories don't seem all that impressive. Why must you constantly be the protagonist of your tale? 3. It is not #theatre - You don't have to cry on stage (unless tears roll down your cheek automatically) to make the audience cry; emotions should be #felt , not shown. You may say difficult things while grinning or pausing just so and still leave them feeling overwhelmed by difficult #feelings . Again, there are several methods, but nothing like living your script on #stage . Don't use the #conventional speaking techniques. A speaker must adapt to the continuously changing #cognitive abilities of the audience! For any #additional input, do use the comment section.

Rick Beato's recent interview of ABBA's Bjorn Ulvaeus included a lengthy discussion of AI and how it is impacting music. Ulvaeus talks about the challenges of even identifying when it is being used. Hearing someone's voice being sampled, like the experiments with Drake and John Lennon, is one thing. But identifying what the model has been trained on when you are talking about style or melody is another thing. "But the prompt, the instruction to the AI model, that's were you could go, and if there is something in the prompt like 'Abba-like, but with a hint of Queen, sung by Frank Sinatra.' Then you could at least identify who it has been trained on. But how do you then distribute whatever payment comes out of that? This is a huge problem for the music industry." Beato thinks music platforms will someday include AI channels based on musicians and bands. https://lnkd.in/ewHz6FTg #AI #music
