Get to know our newest membership group - CounterPoint! In partnership with Thrdspace, CounterPoint is designed for intellectually curious and creative Atlantans who enjoy rich, cultural experiences. Through curated salons featuring intimate conversations with luminaries, members absorb a brand new perspective to the concert experience. The group name is inspired by the musical technique of counterpoint, where a combination of melodic lines come together to contribute equally to the works' overall melody. In partnership with Georgia Public Broadcasting, we are pleased to present Carlos Simon Curates tonight at 7pm across GPB stations, with a re-airing this Sunday at 4pm. This docu-concert explores the creation and performance of the program curated by composer Carlos Simon to "think about Black identity, social justice, anti-racism, perseverance, healing and a call to action for a better tomorrow."
