While I'm familiar with Supply Chain and COGS challenges - reliability of transport, track and trace, cost of raw materials - I found the perspective on process variability issues in Manufacturing to be quite informative. As any scientist will know, our basic tools are pipettes. Its something that scientists get very attached to, and everyone has their favourites!!
