During Home Care Aide Week, we celebrate and honor the dedicated and compassionate individuals who provide essential care to our loved ones in the comfort of their homes. They work tirelessly, ensuring the well-being, dignity, and independence of those they serve. Their commitment goes beyond the call of duty, as they become trusted companions and pillars of support for the families they assist. Home care aides make it possible for individuals to age in place, and their contributions are invaluable. Thank you for everything that you do.❤️

I loved this article for long-distance grandparents. This is another side of globally mobile families - those left behind. Seeing the increase in support for them, helping each side of the long-distance family relationships better understand each other, is wonderful. "If you lived near your grandchildren, you’d likely be spending time and money creating memories with them. From a distance, you can’t enjoy trips to the park or weekend family dinners. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t carve out time during your week to connect with them though!...Whether you are a distance grandparent or not, your experience as a grandparent depends on how much effort you put into the relationships with your adult children and grandchildren. If you want a close, lasting relationship with your grandchild, you need to commit to making the effort. But as long-distance grandparents around the globe will tell you, the reward for that effort is priceless." Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gMCrBCfK .

What is Catholic Community Health? Did you know that Villa St. Francis, Home Care, and Hospice is all under one umbrella called called Catholic Community Health. Watch this powerful video of how it all started in 1945.
75 years ago, Bishop Paul Schulte had a vision for a Catholic home for the elderly where those with meager resources could spend their elder years being cared for — mind, body, and soul. Today, that mission is carried forward by the hands of the team members and volunteers at Catholic Community Health hospice, home care, and Villa St. Francis skilled nursing, serving seniors in our community regardless of their financial means. Learn more about the history of our Catholic continuum of care, and the impact it is making throughout our Archdiocese, in the video we shared at this year's Villa Fall Ball.
