He participated in the development of both the Arpanet protocols and the initial organizational structure of the protocol development process. The multi-layer protocol architecture and the IETF evolved from this early work. The Request for Comments (RFCs) were intended as a temporary way to share technical details. That series is now 55 years old, exceeding the original expectation of six months to a year. The true paradigm shift was not just technical, though. Like Obi-Wan giving Luke a lightsaber, we were given control of the internet and thus able to expand our potential beyond what could be imagined before. Always wanted to make games, and are free next week's weekend (Fri 26. 17:00~ - Sun 28.1.)? My absolute favorite hackathon style event, Finnish Game Jam, is coming up again - an event where You create a game of your own! 🤯 On Friday, you arrive at a community hosted site, mingle a bit, and get to hear this year's theme to inspire the game you'll be creating. Then, you'll team up with either the friends you arrived with, or with other solo participants looking to get to work with you and your skills. Over the course of the weekend, you brainstorm, prototype, create code and draw assets, and finally show off your amazing game - all for the love of creation and working with wonderful enthusiastic game lovers like you! There's no competition or prizes to stress one out - it's just jamming and having fun! Oh, and of course it's free of charge too, and the site hosts sometimes provide food & snacks to the jammers. 🤩 I've been participating for the last eight years, and it's been a blast. I'm not sure if I'll ever find my way to the games industry like I think I dreamt as a teenager, but thanks to Finnish Game Jam I'll be able to live out a wonderful hobby in earnest in an enthusiastic, weekend-contained package every year. - No skill requirements - No cost - No stress - Your game is yours - Just have fun! Since my Friends with Benefits FEST talk, I’ve been getting a lot of messages about the "concrete crypto church" experience I produced for FWB DAO in Berlin. This wasn’t a one-off event, but a 2-year journey redefining community-driven marketing standards. Here’s the behind-the-scenes: Why mix Berlin, breathwork, blockchain, and breaking bread? Simple: to beat boredom. As Jobs said, “Technology alone is not enough—it’s technology married with liberal arts and humanities that yields results that make our heart sing.” In the age of AI, human creativity is more valuable than ever. Apple’s success proves it and I've seen it to be true in my own work. Over the last 2 years, I’ve hosted 4 FWB Berlin events - or rather "ceremonies" - all with 86%+ attendance and rave reviews. Something's working! In my FEST talk https://bit.ly/nhex, I shared my community-building framework inspired by “native apps” for our human OS, called "native human experiences" which blends function + beauty to create elevated experiences. 🔑 The formula: Native (specific) Human (emotional + sensory) Experience (complete journey) In his book “Status and Culture,” W. David Marx says that building for "everyone" leads to monoculture. Everyone is part of a culture, but culture isn't about everybody; it's about somebody. Hit the library or dive into digital crate digging. Step away from the algorithmic fly trap and show us YOUR vision for what should happen next. What iGaming events would you recommend to attend?  (my list in the comments) But first... Why did I bring it up? In the last 2 years,  more and more events appeared. iGaming Calendar displays every month. Some are big and lousy,  others quiet and personal. Each one is worth our time. That's correct, but... Me and You, we also CAN'T ATTEND ALL the exhibitions. With Hermione's time-turner maybe,  but that's another movie dream. So that raises a question: Which top 5 iGaming events should we attend in 2024/2025?

"Give me 126 days, and I'll triple the number of people." SBC Summit Rio promises to grow exponentially. But is it sustainable? At first glance, the scale is impressive: 15,000 attendees, including 6,000 operators and 1,500 affiliates. That's a massive opportunity to connect, build relationships, and gain exposure. More people means more chances to meet key players and partners. However, the effectiveness of networking might suffer in such a crowded space. And the logistics—long lines, packed sessions—can make it harder to get the most out of the event. I'm a bit torn regarding the participation.
