"The suggestion that UFOs are in the Bible is preposterous. In every case, UFOlogists are reading their own meanings into the biblical text (eisegesis) rather than drawing their meanings from the biblical text (exegesis)." 🔗 Learn more from Dr. Ron Rhodes in our latest blog: https://hubs.li/Q02xPGq80

ENROL BY MONDAY… Our upcoming '1 & 2 Chronicles' intensive unit will take you deep into the relevance of these often neglected Old Testament books. Lecture Week = Monday 15 – Friday 19 April 2024. Available on-campus, off-campus (live online), and for audit. Learn more at: https://buff.ly/47GDSkf ----- Why bother studying Chronicles? Isn’t it mostly just a list of names? Doesn’t it just rehash history already covered in Samuel and Kings? In this unit we’ll read Chronicles as a message to its audiences, rebuilding their lives after the Babylonian exile. Perhaps despondent and disillusioned, we’ll explore how the Chronicler uses earlier biblical texts to craft a message for these audiences. Through the intertwined themes of kingdom and temple, worship and the people of God, we'll uncover similarities and differences as we consider the relevance of this book for us as Christians today.
