Give people a CHANCE! Should people hire based on passion over experience? For me, it's Passion Over Experience- Passion is essential in every employee. Passion is essential in every employee. Understanding the core requirements of a position and how the candidate satisfies those requirements is important. I believe, people in my organization to care about their jobs and feel passionately about meeting the goals and objective of their positions. When a candidate communicates effectively about their ability and interest in a position, there is a greater possibility of a long term relationship between the employer and employee. Once an HR told be story about the recruitment process of different company where the qualified applicant for some senior post was provided a ride to the office and hotel. The reason was to check the culture fit, the driver being an employee of the company was given the job of observing the behavior of the applicants and reporting to the head HR. Applicants who treated the driver poorly were automatically disqualified. The whole idea was to hire people who treat co-workers with respect.
