Today marks a historic moment for the High Line Canal! We're thrilled to announce that the Canal is now permanently protected through a conservation easement deeded by Denver Water to the High Line Canal Conservancy, and with it, the transfer of ownership to Arapahoe County of nearly two-thirds of the iconic greenway. This collaborative and visionary move ensures the protection of the High Line Canal as a treasured natural open space for today and future generations of walkers, bikers, and nature lovers. “This is a model for how we can all work together— across jurisdictions, County government, members of the public, and the business sector—to accomplish great things for our community,” said Arapahoe County Commissioner and Board Chair Carrie Warren-Gully. “Here’s to preserving this treasured space, and here’s to many great things to come!” Learn more about this historic moment: https://lnkd.in/eFEBdja8 #HighLineCanal #Conservation #OpenSpace #DenverWater #ArapahoeCounty #HighLineCanalConservancy #NaturePreservation #UrbanTrails #Community
