The scope of the contract covers the construction of six buildings, each built over an area of 548 sq m. The buildings will include temporary offices and other associated facilities. The Lebanese Consultant Dar Al-Handasah is the Project Consultant. Beirut (Lebanon)-based the Dar Al-Handasah Consultants is a privately-owned international consulting company active in engineering, architecture, planning, environmental consulting, project and construction management, facilities management, and economics, founded in 1956.

The country has just hosted a major ICAO conference on alternative aviation fuels, of which it plans to become a major producer. And in just a few days’ time, the oil nation’s biggest city, Dubai, will contentiously host the UN’s COP28 climate summit, during which reducing aviation’s emissions will be a red-hot topic. Which makes this high-emitting flypast performance by the national carrier, Etihad, and seven UAE military jets, pretty incongruous.
