My career, let alone my ability to work in crisis management, would have been severely hampered if I or my employer had stuck to what the Senate Committee is recommending about the right to disconnect from work. But does it apply to all jobs? I don't think so. There are pros and cons to what the Senate Committee is recommending, some of which I explore in this post. What are your views on this topic?

Hybrid is more of an operational model than simply a workplace solution. That has many companies reassessing where, and when, people work. We continued to see a slow, shallow uptick in office utilization, averaging around ~59% midweek. Mondays are making a comeback as well, landing around ~50%, while Friday is still predominately a work remotely day. Thankfully, many have embraced the notion that “one size, or solution, misfits all” and the drivers behind each organization’s strategy should be based on people’s actual job functions, work styles, culture, and needs of the business, their clients, their colleagues, and the workforce.
