Offshore oil drilling platforms typically use specialized high current explosion-proof #sliprings. The operating environment of offshore oil drilling platforms is very complex, and equipment needs to be able to operate stably in harsh marine conditions and flammable and explosive oil and gas environments. Therefore, the slip ring used must have the following key characteristics: Powerful power transmission capability: Due to the large amount of energy supply required for drilling operations, the slip ring needs to be able to transmit high-power current to meet the operational needs of the equipment. High explosion-proof level design: In the environment of oil and gas extraction, explosion-proof safety is crucial. The slip rings used must comply with high explosion-proof standards to ensure safe operation in potentially explosive environments. Durability and reliability: Offshore operations require equipment to have high durability and reliability to resist the influence of natural factors such as seawater corrosion and storms.

A fantastic video demonstrates the operations of oil rigs!! The process of setting up oil rigs begins with selecting a location and designing the rig. The components are constructed and transported to the site, where fixed platforms are anchored to the seabed or floating rigs are secured using mooring or thrusters. During drilling, a rotating drill bit and drilling mud are used to cool the bit and stabilize the well. Casings are installed to support the structure of the well. Once the desired depth is reached, the well is punctured to allow the flow of oil or gas. The extracted resources are brought to the surface using pumps, then processed and transported to refineries. Regular maintenance is conducted to ensure that the operations run smoothly and safely. Subsea BOP (Blow Out Preventer) During drilling operations a BOP is installed on the subsea wellhead at the base of the marine drilling riser. BOP is mandatory and used to protect the rig and the environment at the seabed level in case of gas kick from subsea well, to avoid the possible blow out. BOP stack and subsequently subsea X-tree are connected to the wellhead by hydraulic -operated connector.
