It has been a week since the start of Data Centre World London. For me, it was two days of energising discussion, innovation, and problem-solving with industry colleagues and peers on the Airedale by Modine stand.
I enjoyed discussing numerous key themes around power, access to power, power generation, supply and demand, generative AI – the rise of the GPU and continuation of CPUs and the connotations for air and liquid as a hybrid approach. Project sizes discussed continue to be scalable across the board, throughout colocation, hyperscale, and into the edge, with some increasing densities through the UK, EMEA and APAC. Heat reclaim, and sustainability was recurring themes, as was a requirement for heightened, optimised control at the system and facility level to optimise efficiency and performance.
Above all, what stood out for me was the people. There was a real desire to collaborate and an openness to impart knowledge, discuss best-case solutions not just in isolation but with consideration for broader stakeholder benefits, and deliver data center excellence throughout.
You can relive some of the show's highlights via our stand video below.
If you visited us on the Airedale by Modine Stand, me and my colleagues will be in contact, if not already, to keep the impetus and innovation.
