I have been recently involved into actively #hiring at multiple software levels and found this insight: Applications that I received for Senior Software position were ~13 times less than the applications I got for Jr. Software Engineer. And Applications that I received for Lead Software positions were ~7 times less than what I got for Senior Software positions What do you think this insight mean? I'll let the audience make out the meaning. #apuravwrites

This is a typical pyramid shaped distribution suggesting more no. Of people are passing out and joining the industry than the ones available. And the no. Of new joines are exponentially high than the ones that were before, meaning the craze of people wanting to work as a software engineer is increasing over the last few years. Which is a clear indication of overpopulation or a bubble, since most of the jobs at the junior level are more prone to getting automated.

Juniors are looking for options prior to stability and the more experienced you are, the more stability you seek. Most of these folks have been more happy with their existing people and they tend to switch if they have a purpose or alignment with their personal and professional WHY.
