OSA, characterized by repeated interruptions in breathing during sleep, has emerged as a potential contributor to the progression of CKD. The intermittent hypoxia and oxidative stress associated with untreated OSA may exacerbate renal dysfunction and hasten the decline in kidney function. Conversely, CKD can intensify the severity of OSA, creating a vicious cycle that adversely impacts patient outcomes. It has been observed that in old age, more than 90% of older people take some kind of medical prescription and most of the medicines are not sleep-friendly.
