New tone, who dis? 🤸♂️ It’s been six months since we launched our people and talent studio, and being people who love to lean into change, we thought our brand palette needed some tweaking - so we thought we'd give it a little glow up! We love colour, [if you haven’t already guessed] and we’ve always been eager to portray our brightness in a space that can look quite bland at times. And with two other brands to launch under the Brightside Collective over the coming weeks that we want to seamlessly connect, it was time to get creative and elevate what was already there. And speaking of launching our new brands, as a little teaser, we’ll be bringing to life Fraction & Kodi. Fraction will be geared specifically towards senior fractional recruitment, and Kodi will be a dedicated brand for the tech & software space, but with a neuro spicy and inclusive twist! Let us know what you think about our new colour palette, and as always, give us a shout if you wanna talk building teams or making career moves. Oh, and if you’re keen to come along the journey and join our team[s] then give us a hollaaaaa! 📩 [email protected]

I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined lempire and I’d like to share a few key insights that I believe are essential for a successful transition into a new role. First, it’s crucial to understand the company culture. Every organization has its own values and unique way of operating. Embracing this identity helps you integrate smoothly and contribute more effectively. Next, building strong professional relationships is vital. Success is always a team effort, and establishing meaningful connections from day one creates a collaborative and inspiring work environment. It’s also important to truly understand the product. Knowing what the company offers, why it stands out to clients, and how we can make it even better is key to delivering value early on. Lastly, you need to immerse yourself in the company’s atmosphere. Every workplace has its own rhythm and rituals, and adapting to these helps you thrive and contribute to the collective energy. I’m eager to put these principles into practice and be part of the exciting journey at lempire!

Skills and experience are overrated... Here's what really matters when building a rockstar team: I used to think hiring was all about finding the most qualified candidate on paper. Over the years at Triyit, I've learned that technical skills are often secondary. What really matters? Attitude and cultural fit. We spend way more time assessing who a person is rather than what they can do. → What drives them? → What are their values? → How do they handle challenges? It's about finding people who align with our vision, share our desire to drive forward, and can elevate the whole team. This approach has its challenges, though. As your team gets better, your standards get higher. Suddenly, "good" isn't good enough anymore. But that's a problem I'm happy to have. Because when you build a team of rockstars, magic happens. Productivity skyrockets and innovation flows. We punch way above our weight. Sure, it takes longer to hire this way. But it's worth it. So next time you're hiring, perhaps dig a bit deeper than the CV. Find the right attitude first, then worry about the skills.

Show me a team that cheers each other on, and I'll show you a team that's winning. I love the team culture we're building at Exit Five. Everyone is an owner of something. But also everyone's job overlaps with someone else's in some way. We don't have turf wars though. And we don't have joint ownership. Everything we do must be owned by a single person on the team. And the rest of the team is there to support that person's ownership. It's happening naturally, without a lot of direction. But its not just respecting who owns the project – our team actively cheers on each other's successes. We all want to see each other win. That's a big part of how we're winning this year. And we're hiring 2-3 more team members in the next 6-8 months 🙂

I hired my first team member in 2006. She worked with me from 9am to 1pm while her toddler was at play school. She supported me with a bunch of admin around the client meetings and policies sold following those meetings. It’s not the hire itself that was the game-changer. Not the nature of the role, not the person in the role. That was all good, nothing to complain about. But the real game-changer was: This bought me back four hours a day to zero in on doing more of what I was best at: Getting in front of my prospects, building relationships, and working out how best to serve their needs. If you’re wondering where to begin when it comes to team OR If you’re wondering if it always has to be you that does all the parts of this job, even the things you dread… I’m here to tell you: Take the leap and start. Hire someone to support you for a few hours a week. Get used to delegating and sharing your task load. It’s a point of no return. It was for me, at least. Today we’re a team of 10, and growing!
