Wrapping up Summer the Applauz Way! 🌞 This past weekend, we had the pleasure of gathering for one of our favorite traditions—the Annual Backyard Barbecue hosted by our amazing CEO, François Fortier! 🍔🍗 It’s always a blast coming together, enjoying great food, sharing laughs, and winding down the summer. More than just a chance to relax, events like this remind us how fortunate we are to work alongside such passionate and dedicated teammates. At Applauz, we believe that building strong connections fuels our success, and there’s no better way to strengthen those bonds than through shared moments like these. Here’s to the incredible Applauz team and many more celebrations to come! 🙌 #TeamSpirit #CompanyCulture #EmployeeEngagement

Applause Culture: What if founders could focus only on product + culture and not on investors + P&L. Luckily after 5 years of running LearnApp we find ourselves in the former situation. So, here is how we are using this to our advantage: We introduced Applause culture. Teams present their best work to the entire company and the loudest claps......win. Applause culture changed because: 1. People didn’t need to suck up to me, Prateek Singh or Ankush Oberoi. They did it for the applause. There is honesty is many people judging. 2. People are motivated intrinsically, versus being pushed by a manager to hit their KRA targets (which sucks btw). People give their heart and soul when motivated intrinsically. Everyone wants to be recognised for their work, for the applause. We have KRA incentives, ESOPs and all that - But our applause culture pushes people to their limit. I think this is what will have the highest impact on their careers, and not a ₹₹ payout.

Warm welcomes to our newest colleagues at Aria! 🎉 Following a fantastic year of growth, which they've largely contributed to, we're thrilled to greet them officially. What really sets Aria apart is how everyone's unique mix of vibes, skills (the technical ones and the people ones), and personalities come together to drive our company’s success. So let’s hear from them! ✨ What's the one skill or passion you're bringing to Aria that you believe will make a difference in your work? 🔷 Kavy: “Bringing my passion for technology to a startup like Aria, where it's central to the product, and having an immediate impact on it is a real pleasure.” 🔷 Marile: “I draw inspiration from the world around me, pairing it with my passion for details to contribute a meticulous approach that enhances any problem-solving dynamics.” 🔷 François: “Aria technology is truly impressive and I am so enthusiastic to lead the sales team, drawing upon my expertise in cultivating meaningful relationships and articulating the value proposition to position Aria as a market leader.” 🙃 What’s a fun fact about yourself that reflects in the work you do? 🔷 Matya: “I have an existential need to understand the reason why, which is why I always try to break things down into the separate building blocks.” 🔷 Marie: “I bike to go to work and I get very well-equipped for it (helmet, reflective clothes, etc.) because I don't want to take any unnecessary risk. I guess it is the same in my work at Aria: as a Risk Manager, I make sure to identify risks and find appropriate mitigants to enable Aria to grow in a sustainable way.” 🔷 Élisabeth: “I love dreaming about my future travels, planning the steps and once it’s there, embarking on the journey, exploring, discovering, learning... My adventure at Aria is just that. Starting from a blank page, setting meaningful goals for the company with a horizon spanning several months, exploring various paths and selecting the one that suits us, and constantly learning new things.” Thrilled to see your passion and skills in action. Welcome aboard, team Aria! 🌟

"Work for a cause, not for applause. Live life to express, not to impress." - Unknown. We all have work we want to do and things we want to accomplish. But what's the point of it all? Is it simply to receive recognition and praise? Or is there something more? Working towards goals can be a gratifying experience, but it's not always about the destination. It's about the journey. It's about the process of learning and growing. It's about enjoying life, even when work is a big part of it. So work for a cause. Work to make a difference. Work to express yourself and your creativity. Work to learn and grow. And don't worry about the applause. It will come eventually. So next time you're feeling bogged down by work, remember that it's not just about the end result. It's about everything that happens along the way. Embrace the challenge and enjoy the journey. Who knows where it will take you? #work #life #goals #journeytosuccess #trustyourself #positiveworkenvironment #AHWASSOCIATES

Never underestimate the power of a simple "thank you." It’s like the magic spell that turns a great team into productivity superheroes! Expressing gratitude to your team isn’t just good manners—it’s about boosting morale, creating good vibes, and reminding everyone they are valued. A well-placed "thank you" is like a virtual high-five that says, "You’re crushing it, keep it up!" It’s a simple way to build stronger connections without needing another (sometimes awkward) team-building activity. So, let’s toss those thank yous around like confetti. In saying that, a big thank you to my team this week, it certainly wasn't without it's challenges.

VP Operations - Business Growth & Scale | Business & Product Operations | Alliances & Partnerships | Digital Transformation | Integrated Operations expert | Passionate Systems Thinker
8 months back, we faced a challenge. 3 people from our organization were on the verge of leaving the company. They were ready to walk away, but fate had it that they landed in our team. Now, I could've said, "This might not work out," given the history with another team. But instead, we chose a different path. We decided to work with them, to see where we could take them. Fast forward to today, they're the top performers over the last 6 months, driving revenue within our team. I’ve been asked this question before, "How did you ensure they stayed, Rubina?" Here's the thing–We didn’t ENSURE it, We ENGINEERED their success. We broke down big goals into smaller, manageable steps, each with a process attached to it. We literally broke each goal at a granular level for the team to understand better. The clearer the goal the less is it likely to be missed as it rules out misinterpretations. Here’s What I did: I made a clear picture of how the end goal would look in my mind. I followed the famous rule called setting a SMART Goal. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART). Now I broke these goals into milestones. I determined the major steps/ phases needed to achieve your goal. Then I went on dividing milestones into smaller, achievable sub-goals. We sat down to specify what must be true to achieve each milestone. I Identified the tasks required for each sub-goal. These were the actions to be taken daily or weekly by my team to hit these sub-goals. We tracked their progress all through. Regularly celebrating small wins is equally important to maintain motivation (As we are doing in the picture below!) And that's how we've achieved success with everyone who's joined our team. When I took over operations last year, I reset the team, building it from the ground up. And today, I'm proud to say we've created a brand new team, united in purpose and driven by a shared vision.
