The South by Southwest (SxSW) Conference takes place in Austin, TX and provides an opportunity for the global community of creatives to encounter cutting-edge ideas, discover new interests, and network with other professionals who share a similar appetite for forward-focused experiences. Payscale is partnering with thought leaders to submit a panel for SxSW 2025. Title: "Bye Bye DEI? Will Companies Still Care in 2025?" Panelists: Hebba Youssef from Workweek, Cloey Callahan from Worklife, and Lulu Seikaly from Payscale Description: From uncertain economic times and affirmative action to a heightened geo-politically fueled environment, companies are cutting back on DEI initiatives as quickly as they were implemented in 2020. This panel brings together diverse perspectives on DEI — or lack of it. Payscale's commitment to DEIB remains steadfast. This is an important opportunity to continue the conversation around the future of DEIB with a global community of fellow thought leaders and industry professionals. Please help us make it to the stage by casting your vote! To vote, sign in to PanelPicker or create a free SXSW account with just your email. https://lnkd.in/gk_aVBXH

We’ve published our final Action Plan in response to the Local Government Association (LGA) Peer Challenge. This marks a significant milestone in our transformation journey to ensure the best outcomes for our residents. Newham is a place of vibrant diversity, and our goal is simple: to build a fairer community where everyone can thrive. The LGA Peer Challenge report acknowledged our progress, highlighting commendable improvements in various services and initiatives. There are challenges around prioritisation in a backdrop of increased budget pressures on local government. That's why our Action Plan is crucial - it outlines our commitment to address these issues head-on through focus, collaboration and diligence. With collective ownership from elected members, officers and our dedicated staff, we're already putting in place key strategies, like refreshing service plans, developing a new workforce strategy and enhancing our governance framework. Our Action Plan isn't just a document; it's a promise to deliver on the vision for a fairer Newham. By fostering a culture of learning and improvement, we're ensuring sustainable progress for our residents - the heart of everything we do.
